Well friends, for this occasion I wanted to capture the sun—yes, I actually wanted to catch sunlight in the reflection of a mirror. To me, there's something beautiful and poetic about that act. When I was little, I loved reflecting sunlight on different surfaces. To take the photo, I armed myself with a shard of broken mirror, which adds drama to the image, and placed myself among pine trees so the rays could filter through the leaves, making them lighter and easier to capture. Finally, I played with the angle until I found the exact glimmers I was looking for—sunlight captured and immortalized.
Pues amigos, para esta ocasión he querido capturar el sol. Sí, efectivamente, quiero capturar los rayos del sol en el reflejo de un espejo. Para mí hay algo muy bonito y poético en esa acción. Cuando era chico me gustaba mucho reflejar el sol en distintas superficies. Para tomar la foto me armé con un fragmento de espejo roto, que le dará más dramatismo a la fotografía, y me coloqué entre los árboles de pino para que los rayos se filtraran por dentro de las hojas, haciéndolos más ligeros y fáciles de capturar. Por último, fue jugar con el ángulo hasta que encontré justo los destellos de luz que quería—y listo: ¡reflejo del sol capturado e inmortalizado!
For the photo editing, I used the Snapseed app on my phone to convert it to black and white, making the reflected rays stand out even more and enhancing the dramatic feel of the image and its composition. I really liked the final result.
Para la edición de la fotografía utilicé la aplicación Snapseed desde mi teléfono para llevarla a blanco y negro, haciendo que destaquen aún más los rayos reflejados y aumentando lo dramática que, por sí sola, es la foto y su composición. El resultado me gustó mucho.
