Storms | Qurator’s Photo Quest

Hello friends, I hope you're having a very lovely day. Today I want to share this small entry on my blog as part of Qurator’s Photo Quest. I really liked this round’s prompt: Storms. There was just one problem—I didn’t have any storm photos. But incredibly, a few days ago I had shared a post about a rainy day in PhonePhotography. That day I took many photos from my house, and today I’m sharing one of those, which had remained unpublished.

I like when it rains—I like the rain and its smell. Maybe because I was born and raised in a rural area far from the city, I’ve learned to see both the good and the bad in long droughts and heavy storms. Today I want to share with you a photo that captured a moment of calm before the torrential rain a few days ago. A moment when the clouds covered the sun and darkened the day. Sometimes clouds seem to hide floating worlds above us—they look like great mountains. Some technical details about my photo: it was taken with my phone and edited using Snapseed. I think over time we learn to be at peace with big storms, because we know that eventually they’ll pass, leaving only the memory and the smell of wet earth.

Thank you, friends, for visiting my blog one more day. I hope you enjoyed this entry and the photo. A thousand thanks, and as always, I wish you great success and good luck. Bye bye!

¡Chau chau!
