I took a photograph of a flower that was very still in the middle of the grass. Its petals are very thin, delicate, and fragile, but still it stands alone against the wind. A single flower surrounded by all kinds of grasses and leaves. I wanted to capture this moment of this flower, just as it is, without adornments or distractions, only its natural form which by itself seems to speak and tell a story. The image is very simple, but in that very simplicity there is a kind of truth that speaks for itself, a reminder that beauty also lies in simplicity. I feel that these flowers are nature's way of always surprising us. Sharing this photo is my way of saying that sometimes we need to stop and simply observe. I chose black and white because it eliminates the noise of color and leaves only the essence of the subject in the photograph. In monochrome, the flower becomes something that is much more than a plant; it becomes a symbol, a form of light and shadows. It gives me that feeling of memory, of textures from the past. Tomé una fotografía de una flor que estaba muy quieta en medio de la hierba. Sus pétalos son muy finos, delicados y frágiles, pero aun así resiste solitaria el viento. Una única flor rodeada de todo tipo de hierbas y hojas. Quise capturar este momento de esta flor, justo así como es, sin adornos y sin distracciones, solo su forma natural que de por sí sola parece hablar y contar una historia. La imagen es bien simple, pero en esa misma simpleza hay una especie de verdad que por sí sola habla, un recordatorio de que en lo simple está la belleza también. Siento que estas flores son la manera que tiene la naturaleza de siempre sorprendernos. Compartir esta foto es mi manera de decir que a veces necesitamos detenernos y simplemente observar. Elegí el blanco y negro porque elimina el ruido del color y deja solo la esencia del sujeto en la fotografía. En monocromo, la flor se convierte en algo que es mucho más que una planta, se convierte en un símbolo, una forma de luz y sombras. Me da esa sensación de memoria, de texturas del pasado.
