Hola amigos y hola comunidad, qué alegría estar aquí escribiendo este blog para ustedes. Espero que hayan tenido una hermosa semana llena de alegrías y con metas cumplidas. Espero también poder disfrutar de sus imágenes esta semana. Por aquí está haciendo una hermosa y soleada mañana, espero también que el clima les acompañe. Esta será mi entrada para Phonography de esta semana, espero que la disfruten. Como siempre, muchas gracias a toda la comunidad.

The photos I show you today follow a clear line: flowers and plants from a garden captured in black and white. And although whenever I publish black-and-white photographs I do so by taking the photo in color and then editing the color in some application, this time I wanted to do the exact opposite: take the photos directly in black and white, no edits, no corrections, just as the camera sees them.

Las fotos que hoy les muestro siguen una línea clara: las flores y plantas de un jardín capturadas en blanco y negro, y aunque siempre que publico fotografías en blanco y negro lo hago tomando la foto a color, y después editando el color en alguna aplicación, esta vez quise hacer todo lo contrario: tomar directamente las fotos en blanco y negro, sin ediciones, sin correcciones, tal cual la cámara las ve.

It caught my attention that shooting in black and white, saying goodbye to color, drastically changes the way we take photographs. We must pay special attention to the whites and blacks, to the lights and shadows, to the parts of the photograph that light or the absence of light highlights.

Me llamó mucho la atención que disparar en blanco y negro, diciéndole adiós al color, cambia drásticamente la forma en la que tomamos la fotografía. Hay que prestar especial atención a los blancos y negros, a las luces y sombras, a las partes de la fotografía que la luz o la ausencia de esta destaca.

I especially liked these photographs I took of the flowers of a crown of thorns plant, in its two variants: both the white and the red ones. They both look different and feel different in the photograph despite being the same species.

Me gustó en especial estas fotografías que tomé a las flores de una planta de corona de espinas, en sus dos variantes, tanto las blancas como las rojas. Ambas se aprecian distinto y se sienten distinto en la fotografía a pesar de ser la misma especie.

I really liked this flower; its petals were white with pink edges, but black and white greatly increased the contrast of the details for the better, obtaining this result, without a doubt one of my favorite photos from this session.

Me gustó mucho esta flor, sus pétalos eran blancos con los bordes en rosa, pero el blanco y negro incrementó mucho y para bien el contraste de los detalles, obteniendo este resultado, sin duda una de mis fotos favoritas de esta sesión.

In the gardens, each flower has its place and each one is beautiful by itself. These little red beauties couldn't be missing; I think that even in black and white, you can feel the red color in their soft petals.

En los jardines cada flor tiene su lugar y cada una es bella por sí sola. No podía faltar estas pequeñas bellezas rojas, creo que incluso en blanco y negro se siente el color rojo en sus pétalos suaves.

Plants are not just flowers, and it is not only the flowers that give beauty to gardens. For example, this leaf had a beautiful texture with green dots.

Las plantas no son solo flores, y no son solo las flores las que dan belleza a los jardines. Por ejemplo, esta hoja tenía una hermosa textura de puntos de color verde.

A moment to appreciate this miniature little forest full of tiny evergreen leaves.

Un momento para apreciar este pequeño bosque en miniatura lleno de pequeñas hojitas siempre verdes.

The enormous green leaves of this plant immediately caught my attention, especially because of the curious distribution of their lines, so without further ado I took a photo of both sides of the leaf, the upper side being a reddish tone and the underside a dull green.

Las enormes y verdes hojas de esta planta llamaron enseguida mi atención, sobre todo por la curiosa distribución de sus líneas, así que sin más tomé una foto de ambas caras de la hoja, siendo la superior de un tono casi rojizo y la inferior un verde opaco.
