Hola amigos, gracias por estar un día más en mi blog. Espero que estén teniendo un lindo día. Hoy les quiero compartir una sombra y un instante capturado, un recuerdo y un poco de añoranza. Desde ya, gracias por acompañarme en mi entrada para el Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest – Round 386.

The photo I’m sharing with you was taken in 2019, just outside El Capitolio in Havana, Cuba. El Capitolio stands behind, and the buildings in front are cloaked in the shadows of the afternoon. Despite the evident decay and sadness of the place, a beautiful scene unfolds. Golden tones flood nearly the entire view, and for a moment, they seem to shine with their own light. I remember that day—it was very special to me, especially because I shared it with someone I love deeply. That day, we walked through Havana as we had always promised to do, but never found the time. We stopped for cotton candy and wandered into old vinyl shops we knew we wouldn’t buy from. I miss those days, the city—but most of all, I miss the company. Perhaps I, too, remained in the shadows.

Las fotos que les comparto son una foto tomada en el año 2019, a las afueras de El Capitolio, en La Habana, Cuba. El Capitolio queda a las espaldas y los edificios anteriores son cubiertos por las sombras de la tarde. Se produce una escena muy linda a pesar del evidente deterioro y tristeza del lugar. Recuerdo este día y para mí fue muy especial, sobre todo porque compartí con una persona que amo mucho. Aquel día caminamos La Habana como siempre prometíamos que haríamos, pero no había tiempo. Aquel día nos detuvimos por algodón de azúcar y entramos a tiendas de viejos vinilos que no íbamos a comprar. Añoro los días, la ciudad, pero más añoro la compañía. Quizás yo me quedé en sombras también.
