Greetings,

Dear friends once again here showing the architectural beauties of my city, generating a record of each of them as far as possible.

A few days ago I went to visit the workshop of a friend and on the way I made a stop at the Plaza de las Madres.

This square is located in an east-west direction at the exit of the city, I say this because it is the position that has the statue of the mother watching the sun rise, but if we come to victory from the west her back is who welcomes us.

This square was developed in the 70's as a tribute to the Lions Club, by the hand of members of the club in the company of the Rotary Club International.

The square is limited in space by a return and incorporation of the main avenues of the city, it is the first stop of public transport which lends itself to several informal stores that supply workers in the sector.

If we talk about the square it is a construction of Masonic tendency where the multiple uses of stars are evident, from the floor to the fountain that accompanies the mother.

The mother shows the protection and sustenance of her children surrounded by four lions that protect her and represent the security of her home.

The square as the great majority has abundant trees that shelter and make the time of rest and enjoyment of the square are cool, among these trees I managed to differentiate Saman, apamate, acacias and some ornamental plants.

In one of the renovations made by the government they added several sports areas among these we see an area for skateboarding and some bars for outdoor strength exercises.

At the foot of the statue are the commemorative plaques of those who pay tribute to them, it is close to the celebration of Mother's Day and is when it receives part of affection and floral offerings with governmental acts.

With the urban development of the area was packed a stream that crossed it and at the time had a bridge to cross it.

It is true that sometimes we are surrounded by very beautiful works and by the day to day we stop appreciating them, roasting a while in it was quite relaxing between its freshness and the song of the birds that wander through its trees.

It is a pity that the fountain that springs from the lions is not in operation but I always remember as a child to see it working and lit, which meant that if you left the city by that way you will always remember it, it is still a monument that stands out and attracts many glances in its path.

At this time one of the things that does much damage is the operation of the gas station that is next to it because with the shortage of fuel in the country many cars and motorcycles accumulate in their spaces to wait their turn to fill the precious fuel.

Queridos amigos una vez más por aquí mostrando las bellezas arquitectónicas de mi ciudad, generando un registro de cada una de ellas en la medida de lo posible.

Ha e unos días fui a visitar el taller de un amigo y en el camino hice una parada en la Plaza de las Madres.

Esta plaza está ubicada en sentido este oeste en la salida de la ciudad, digo esto porque es la posición que tiene la estatua de la madre viendo al sol salir, pero si llegamos a la victoria desde el oeste su espalda es quien nos recibe.

Esta plaza fue desarrollada en los años 70 como un tributo del club de los leones, de la mano de miembros del club en compañía del Rotary club internacional.

La plaza está limitada en espacio por un retorno e incorporación de las principales avenidas de la Ciudad, en ella se encuentra la primera parada del transporte público lo que se presta para varios comercios informales que abastecen a los trabajadores del sector.

Si hablamos de la plaza es una construcción de tendencia masónica dónde se evidencia el múltiple usos de estrellas, desde el piso hasta la fuente que acompaña a la madre.

La madre muestra la protección y sustento de sus hijos rodeada por cuatro leones que la resguardan y que representan la seguridad de su hogar.

La plaza como la gran mayoria cuenta con abundantes árboles que la cobijan y que hacen que el rato de descanso y disfrute de la plaza sean fresco, entre estos árboles logré diferenciar Saman, apamate, acacias y algunas plantas ornamentales.

En una de las remodelaciones realizadas por parte del gobierno le agregaron varias áreas deportivas entre estás vemos un área para skate y algunas barras para realizar ejercicios de fuerza al aire libre.

A los pies de la estatua se encuentran las placas conmemorativas de quienes se les rinde el homenaje, ya está próximo la celebración del día de las madres y es cuando recibe parte de cariño y ofrendas florales con actos gubernamentales.

Con el desarrollo urbano de la zona fue embalado un riachuelo que la atravesaba y que en su momento tenía un puente para cruzarlo.

De verdad que aveces estamos rodeados de muy bonitas obras y por el día a día dejamos de apreciarlas, el asar un rato en ella fue bastante relajante entre su frescura y el canto de las aves que se pasean por sus árboles.

Es una lastima que la fuente que brota de los leones no está en funcionamiento pero siempre recuerdo de niño verla funcionando y alumbrada, lo que hacía que si salias de la ciudad por esa vía siempre te quedará el recuerdo, todavía es un monumento que resalta y atrae muchas miradas en su paso.

En estos momentos una de las cosa que mucho daño le hace es el funcionamiento de la estación de servicio que está junto a ella ya que con la escasez de combustible del país se acumulan muchos autos y motocicletas en sus espacios para esperar su turno para surtir el tan preciado combustible.
