It is a tropical tree that abounds in the forests of Central America and northern South America, its fruit is quite sweet and is used in various recipes for desserts and juices besides being consumed as fruit.

Its appearance resembles an ornamental tree bringing much beauty to the gardens of those who own it, it is also said that its seeds serve as an insecticide for ticks, fleas and lice.

Depending on the conditions of the soil where it is found, it can vary in size as well as the size of its fruits.

Queridos amigos hoy les comparto estas lindas imágenes del árbol de Mamey o como también se le conoce Zapote.
Es un árbol tropical que abunda en los bosques de centro américa y al norte de sur américa, su fruto es bastante dulce y se utiliza en varias recetas de postres y jugos aparte de ser consumido como fruta.
Su apariencia parece un árbol ornamental aportando mucha belleza a los jardines de quienes lo poseen, también dicen que sus semillas sirven como insecticida para garrapatas, pulgas y piojos.
Según las condiciones del suelo dónde se encuentra puede variar su tamaño al igual que el de sus frutos.
