He decided to assemble an iron structure brought from London, which would become the old Maracaibo Market. This would be the first chapter of a cultural history that would unfold over the years. The rich history of this space came to life in 1990, when the Government of Zulia created the Cultural Foundation. Under the leadership of architect José Esposito, an ambitious remodeling project was carried out that transformed the place into a cultural complex, exhibition halls, a theater, an information and documentation center, a reading room, a restaurant and an art store are just some of the additions to this cultural treasure.
