Plaza de Bolívar | Bogotá, Colombia 🇨🇴✈️

¡Hola a todos! Me había dado una pausa por un par de semanas porque mi cerebro estaba bastante agotado, pero aún tengo algún material de mi viaje a Bogotá en el pasado mes de agosto. Y esta publicación para mí es bastante sentida por lo que representa el sitio que fui a visitar.

Como venezolana, Simon Bolivar está arraigado en nuestra historia y es parte indudable de nuestra identidad. Conocemos todo lo que hizo y hasta donde llegó. En cada pueblo de Venezuela hay una plaza Bolívar. Estados, Universidades, Colegios, en todos lados está el nombre de Bolivar. Cómo Libertador de varios varios países de suramérica, también es parte de la identidad de estos países. Pero lo que yo sentí cuando crucé la esquina y se abrió la plaza de Bolívar, ubicada en La Candelaria en Bogotá, Colombia.

No me esperaba lo que ví. La magnificencia del espacio de la plaza, el tamaño de los edificios, y la cantidad de personas visitando el lugar. Sin lugar a dudas, Colombia definitivamente es nuestro país hermano, hasta las banderas compartimos y visitar este este inmenso espacio, sobre todo por la fecha en la que viajé, me dejó bastante conmovida.

Tenemos muchos edificios importantes alrededor de la estatua, entre estos el Congreso de la República, el Palacio de Justicia y la Catedral de Bogotá, todos en las fotografías.

Pero lo que más me conmovió fue una placa con una de las frases de Bolívar que dicta: "Prefiero el título de ciudadano al de Libertador, porque este emana de la guerra; aquel de ciudadano emana de las leyes. Cambiadme Señor, todos los dictados por el de buen ciudadano". Ese día me conmovió mucho por todo lo que está sucediendo en mi país.

En cuanto al lugar, bastante facil de llegar, pero hay que estar con todos los sentidos alertas por la zona porque había mucha gente extraña. También habías muchas palomas preciosas en toda la plaza, cómo que sigue siendo un común en todas las plazas.

No estuvimos mucho rato allí, porque no había donde sentarse así que nos fuimos a tomar café por allí cerquita. ¿Quieren ver cuál fue el café?

Hello everyone. I had given myself a break for a couple of weeks because my brain was pretty frazzled, but I still have some material from my trip to Bogota last August. And this post for me is quite heartfelt because of what the place I went to visit represents.

As a Venezuelan, Simon Bolivar is rooted in our history and is undoubtedly part of our identity. We know everything he did and how far he went. In every town in Venezuela there is a Bolivar Square. States, Universities, Schools, everywhere there is the name of Bolivar. As the Liberator of several South American countries, he is also part of the identity of these countries. But what I felt when I crossed the corner and opened the Bolivar Square, located in La Candelaria in Bogota, Colombia.

I did not expect what I saw. The magnificence of the plaza space, the size of the buildings, and the amount of people visiting the place. Undoubtedly, Colombia is definitely our brother country, even the flags we share and visiting this immense space, especially for the date I traveled, left me quite moved.

We have many important buildings around the statue, including the Congress of the Republic, the Palace of Justice and the Cathedral of Bogota, all in the photographs.

But what moved me most was a plaque with one of Bolivar's phrases that reads: "I prefer the title of citizen to that of Liberator, because the latter emanates from war; that of citizen emanates from the laws. Change me, Sir, all the dictates for that of good citizen". That day moved me very much because of everything that is happening in my country.

As for the place, quite easy to get there, but you have to be with all your senses alert in the area because there were many strange people. There were also many beautiful pigeons all over the square, which is still a common sight in all the squares.

We didn't stay there long, because there was nowhere to sit so we went for coffee nearby. Want to see what the coffee was?
