Some architectural aspects of my coastal walk

Time to finally leave the port area of the coastal city of Burgas. No matter how much I want to, I can't stay there forever. So I continue the walk outside of it after I've feasted on seafood and fries as I showed you last week.

IMG_20230206_184621.jpg

Breaking away from the expanse of water is difficult. It attracts a person like a magnet. It is a magnet. But I gather enough strength and continue my walk.

IMG_20230206_184643.jpg

Entering the built-up area of this seaside town, passing a variety of buildings - luxury hotels and old houses.
The first thing I come across is this gazebo. As I told you once before, this kind of beautiful park buildings are not typical for my country. But this gazebo is part of the infrastructure of the neighboring expensive hotel, as I understand later.

IMG_20230206_184732.jpg

Marriage ceremonies are also held here. Just like in the movies (again, this is not typical of my country and our religious holiday ceremonies. In fact, I know, I haven't attended a wedding in a long time, and I plan to soon or never do it again. 😁)

IMG_20230206_184832.jpg

Anyway, the atmosphere was quite special here. There was a man lying in the meadow nearby. I think he was doing some kind of yoga practice, but I felt quite uncomfortable walking past him to get to the gazebo and photograph it without attracting his attention and causing questions like: what am I photographing and why am I photographing it.

IMG_20230206_184711.jpg

And yet, there was a peculiar stillness and calm here (maybe that's what made me feel uncomfortable). There was no other person around and I still calmly looked around the gazebo, admired its craftsmanship and then continued on my way.

IMG_20230206_184902.jpg

Another park find.
I really like to notice and discover various interesting objects in the parks. And there are always a lot of them. There are always enough curiosities in the parks to attract attention, don't you think? And this here is one of them - a bicycle parking rack in the shape of a fish skeleton. No, it's not an ugly thing, nor a scary thing. On the contrary - it is a rather conceptual, rational object, a work of art. And after the dolphin- and anchor-shaped benches on the harbor, this is the second such design-concept object of urban infrastructure that follows the maritime theme of this coastal city.

IMG_20230206_211028.jpg

Oh, that's another concept-themed performance. And there is no way it could be otherwise, because we are already in the city's infamous sea garden.

IMG_20230206_211056.jpg

I can't say exactly when this sea garden terrace decoration was created, but as I've told you before, it reminds me strikingly of some world-famous spa resorts.

IMG_20230206_211145.jpg

And it definitely creates an atmosphere of sophistication and aristocracy that only spas and seaside resorts can exude.

Just like the old houses around.

IMG_20221204_140426.jpg

You know, I have shown you the old houses of the city of Burgas - those beautiful artifacts, those wonderful archival evidence of the existence of that bygone era of prosperity and wealth, the presence of rich and enterprising people who built good, large and extremely beautiful buildings.

IMG_20221204_140227.jpg

You will know them by the details. By the attention paid to the smallest details.

IMG_20221204_140205.jpg
(It is possible that the house I am showing you is even 100 years old.)

IMG_20230206_211116.jpg

And I will end the walk with the most unusual thing possible. What do you see here? Perhaps simply the symbol of the sun, a sign that brings prosperity. Well, one should not dig into the bark of a tree, of course, I agree here. Yet, this is what I saw and discovered during my walk, now documented and archived. Forever.

Happy #WednesdayWalk, guys! See you next week again on this wonderful occasion!

Some people build, others destroy. The circle of life.
As usual, glad to see so much beauty through your eyes.

Ha ha, yes, one can draw that conclusion after the last picture, indeed. 😊 And as I said before, Bulgaria turns out to be a country where there is really a lot to see, even I am amazed by this fact. 😃 It depends, of course, on what we are looking for, what our attention is drawn to. If we are discoverers, we will discover a lot, whole treasures we will find on this god-forsaken island...
Thank you!

Walking under a sky so blue, feels like above the clouds. it also seems that the weather is sunny, admiring some of the existing facilities. including seeing the old houses of the city of Burgas, that the glory of the rich really existed.

Yes, on such a calm sunny day one can really be transported beyond and look down through the decades and centuries and enjoy all that has been built over the years and remains.
Glad you liked it! 😊

Yes, dear @jlufer, it is very easy for architecture lovers like us both to literally get lost in such a place. As I have written before, in cities like this I prefer to be alone so that I can give its 'objects' the time they deserve. 😊

Yes, someone has definitely made an effort here. I don't want to guess, because nowadays people who can afford such a thing, to own a hotel and build such things, are not random, and in Bulgaria they fall into a certain group with a not very good reputation. Still, it is a joy to the eye to see such a thing, regardless of its origin. 😊 Glad you liked it too!

Kind of, only built a century later. You are right about the rectangular shapes, the house is lovely, the shapes are exquisite and the color is outstanding. Glad you liked it!

It's been renovated, of course, that's why it looks this way. Just recently I came across information about it on the net. Of course, one always gets the information about something, not when one needs it so much. 😄 So I only found out about this building after I wrote a post about it 😃
Anyway, glad you liked it!
