Sweet potato plant...... or maybe not - #monomad challenge
Heyooo everyone....... It's my first time participating in the monomad challenge🏴.
I'm not into botany but often times, I can't help but find plants fascinating. While growing up, I wouldn't hesitate to touch and most times, pluck any plant leaf I come across. When I eventually get home, I draw it on a sheet of paper ensuring to include any spirals or intricate patterns.
Some days back, I came across this heart-shaped leaf hiding in a corner of my compound and was quite surprised because I haven't spotted it before. However, looking at the stem which was anything but strong, proved it just started growing. Magically???..... I can't tell.
I plucked a leaf and drew it on paper then afterwards, looked it up on the internet and it was claimed to be a sweet potato leaf. However, I don't know how accurate that is given that, there are lots of other plants with heart shapes as well.
The more I looked at it, a conversation I had with my friend some days ago about love came to mind. She asked me a question which has stayed rent-free in my head,
What is it about love that people are so mad over it?
While I kept trying to make her see the worth of love in every beings life, she used every given opportunity to dispute it.
And at the end of the day, she simply said she loves love but doesn't believe in it. I on the other hand, dared her to repeat that statement when she finds the one, lol.
Well, I've been checking out this plant hoping it matures. Though I don't really have much materials for its growth..... making do with vegetable peels, crushed eggshells and the like.
Let's see how it goes...
