Révfülöp at lake Balaton my tiny little paradise

As you might know already my wife and I are spending our holidays in Révfülöp in Hungary. We are currently looking for property in this area so if you are selling we are buying. My family has been spending their summers in this beautiful port town for over 30 years. I love it here because the surroundings are so diverse and there are a lot of cool things to discover.
The first image is the harbor building where you can get tickets for the ships leaving for several ports at the lake. It also serves as a backdrop for the morning show of the Hungarian national TV with the title "Good morning Hungary" or "Jó reggelt Magyarország"

This little girl was fishing in the evening hours I don't know if she caught anything.

The golden hours look amazing and I did not even realize the Duck in the image until I had a second look. Can you find it? In the background you can see a ship leaving the port, although it looks as it would just arrive it is just leaving in reverse and turning once the water is deep enough to allow the turn.

This was just a quick snapshot of the train going to Balatonfüred but I really loved the light conditions.

This is a hidden spot in a village called Salföld which a 15 minute drive from Révfülöp. This is an artificial lake and the remains of a mining operation. It is not allowed to swim here but everyone does it anyways. The surroundings are so beautiful and almost surreal, since the sand is white which is absolutely not tipical for the region.

All photos where taken on my Iphone 11 which has seen better days, I have some dust in the cam and can not get rid of it.

Thanks a lot, that girl is not my daughter. We do not really have Salmons in this lake. It is a sweetwater with no connection to salt water.

I wasn't sure if you were Hungarian, I just assumed based on your name.

The northern shore of Lake Balaton is definitely a good place, good luck finding a suitable property at a reasonable price!

I watched quite a few videos on a similar topic that you wrote about in your previous post. The yurt can be another option, there are some that are more comfortable overall. (with electricity, flushin toilet) And it doesn't need a building permit (as far as I know).

This is a nice couple who live in a yurt. It is mentioned in the video that they found the plot by making contact with small villages, municipalities, which still have quite a lot of municipal land. (In many cases even within the territory of the village, so a building permit is certainly not a problem.) And they are not far off in terms of prices either. Just an idea. Perhaps, it's not so easy around Balaton.

Offtopic: how come there is no Hungarian community on Hive? I was just looking at the frontend traffic on similarweb. Hungary is also 3rd... and I only know about 2-3

Thank you! If you assumed that I am Hungarian reading my name you must be Hungarian too?
There is a 2 hungarian communities on hive but I don’t see many posts there. The traffic might be coming from me partially since I open peakd about a 1000 times a day lol.
Yurts are a thing that I also looked into, there is a Czech company building them for sub 20k
The problem is that they are quite easy to break into, just by cutting the sidewalls. Unfortunately we have quite a lot of break in and enterings during the off season here.
