Whitetail deer spotted

avatar
(Edited)

Normally I find that they stay up at night, but sometimes I will see them during the day as well. Looks like a doe to me, and in pretty good shape. It was probably feeding on the grass that was recently cut. I always enjoy seeing animals like this outside, makes me look out the windows all the time.. lol

Here is a close up of the deer.

I spotted it when I went outside, it sprinted through these line of trees and came out the other side.

Deer can have such silly looks, this one.. quite derpy.

Greetings brother, good sighting, even in that nature rewards us with its animal species.

That relaxed midday grazing is such a contrast to their usual skittishness, almost like she’s clocked out for a lunch break. The GH6 caught her charm perfectly. Graceful creatures

They feel quite safe in my fields.. so I guess it did not expect me.

Yeah they are quite cool looking and I love my new camera.

Cute. We've had a muntjac deer in our garden. They are not native, but some escaped from private parks. There are other types around, but they are getting squeezed out by all the building going on around here.

Oh cool.. those look pretty small. Our deer are 200 pound plus usually.

Yeah buildings tend to do that.

I saw two today when I was riding my quad bike. But they ran so fast that I didn't have time to take a photo of them!

I once tried to whisper to a deer like a Disney princess but just sneezed and scared it off. Glad this one didn’t have to hear that performance. Lovely shot

Hah, I know that sneeze you are talking about. Sometimes I spook them and they run off huffing.

It is a very beautiful animal, fortunately it can still be sighted in some places far from hunters. my Regards @solominer

Yeah it is pretty cool to see them during the day, usually hunters cause them to be more nocturnal.

Nice shots! We have tons of whitetail around here, in fact, opening day of rifle season is basically a national holiday in the school district where I work. Even if they kept school open for that day they probably wouldn't be able to count it because so many people would be gone!

It's so beautiful, having to look through your window to see these sort of things can be a blessing. I don't think I've had ghe opportunity to see a real life deer.
Thanks for sharing.
