Trying out infrared photography again

(Edited)

If you have been a very long time follower of me, you may remember me doing this kind of photography. I had a lot of fun bringing along my modified Lumix GH3 and a bunch of IR and UV pass through filters. And captured the beauty of nature while I am having fun with my camera. Attaching my SLR Magic lens and I screwed on my 720 NM infrared pass through filter then dialed in the white balance and got to taking pictures.

About ten years ago, I sent my camera off to a company that will take them apart and remove the "hot lens" that sits on top of the cameras image sensor. By doing this, it lets much more light into the camera sensor. But if you put some special cut filters on, you can really capture some great pictures by doing this.

The way light reflects from the trees is just amazing, depending on the time of the day can really change the look of image due to how the light is shifted.

We can see how the trees and grass reflect light, but the pile of rocks do not. This is due to the chlorophyll in the leaves, but lack of them in the rocks.

Pine needles look trippy, so many tiny pieces makes the tree look fuzzy.

The tree canopies in the forest look amazing when the light shines through them.

And how you can make shadows look quite deep compared to the brightness of the sun up above.

The tree lines look great, but nothing to see with wooden boxes and bare dirt. Has to be living.

Got a shot of myself in front of that huge vining bean plant.

Its like a wall of vines now.

The pepper plants look pretty cool as well.

Sometimes the shots look quite alien to me, or surreal.

I need to take my camera back out soon and get some more good pictures.

This is my camera, it is a Panasonic Lumix GH3. It is quite old now, but its unique due to its modifications. Glad I had it changed to a full spectrum camera. Soon I need to get the ultraviolet filter out and get some shots with that too.

Nice this looks a bit extraordinary. The white of the tree leaves is amazing.

I do love how the leaves of the plants look, tells you they are alive.. vs the rocks where they do not reflect any light.

Wow!!! I like the ones with the trees a lot. Really hauntingly beautiful. I mean you still have to choose your subject matter wisely, right?

Yeah those trees really reflect the infrared light well. Yeah I know what you mean, I love the feeling of the images in infrared.

Hah yeah, I only have so much time in a day.

This looks cool, unique photography in my opinion, I haven't been following you for a long time, but today I saw one of the amazing photography results today, to be a result like this how difficult is it for you to edit it, friend? 🙏

Ah yeah I used to do a lot of this kind of photography.

As for editing I just do a auto white balance on the images, that is all... I also set it on my camera with white piece of paper but sometimes I need to use GIMP to get the WB set right.

It reminded me a lot of those negative photos or images, like the negative man in the Spider-Man game. The photos were very nice, I really liked this effect and how they turned out

Greetings brother, look how interesting and there are some excellent photographs, the one I liked the most was where the small mother gardens appear, they look like zombie tombs hahaha, they look very good.

Sure does.. every time I do more I learn a little bit. And sometimes you just need to change the filters to get the right effect you are looking for.

thank you, will do.

The photos appear almost as negatives but the quality is so different, with emphasis on the contrast. Yes the absence of colours gives it a sense of depth.
Astonishingly beautiful!!!
