Growing little plants - Zebra Stripe

The seedlings have grown quite a bit in the last two weeks. They are now forming a root system and shooting off lots of leaves. I topped them a couple days ago and they did not slow down at all, normally the plant pauses growth for a day or two after topping them but seems these are quite vigorous and are bouncing right back. I will keep these plants under 2 feet tall so they fit in my grow tent. So topping them is the best way I find to do this.

Strain:Zebra Stripe
Dominance:80/20 Indica Dominant Hybrid
Nutrients used:Foxfarm Grow Big and Foxfarm Big Bloom / CO2 enriched grow environment
Phenotype traits:Compact nodes and short but wide growth, stubby leaves. During flower should be able to turn purple or black due to genetics from the blackwater strain
Lineage:Blackwater / Blueberry Muffin / Alien OG
Current growing stage:Vegetative
Current plant age:25 days old
Sex:Feminized
Location:Central Virginia USA.

By topping these plants it forces them to grow more stems, and with every main stem comes a cola when its time to flower them.

At the third node I cut off the extra growth, they just started forming the forth node so it was perfect timing.

It seems like these plants will want to stay short, but this will help for sure if they change their mind..lol

Thinking this is going to be a frosty strain, seeing crystals form on the leaves and these plants are not even a month old.

Showing strong indica traits with its short stubby leaves and short but wide growth. Looking forward to seeing the buds form and maybe I will get some cool colors out of them.

The other three plants are responding to the topping well, forming new growth at the node sites right below the cutting. I make sure to leave a bit of a nub on there so they do not split and crack as they grow.

Looking down at them we can really see that tight growth pattern. Being mostly indica that makes sense, those strong kush traits are showing.

I keep the grow tent warm, up to around 95F. This helps the plants grow faster and can only be done with the introduction of CO2 to help with heat stress. I bought an interval timer that I can control when the intake fan comes on and off to cool down the grow tent.

Its a little cool in the tent today, but usually I keep it in the 90s.

I produce carbon dioxide using a yeast and sugar mix.

The fan that runs on the interval timer blows air across the bucket moving the CO2 around the tent. An exhaust vent is open on the top of the tent.

The plants get this gas made by the yeast and sugar and helps them to grow faster and stronger. And to give them heat resistance so I can get those high tent temperatures without worry.

I am sure in a few weeks these plants are going to look completely different, they grow so fast at this stage. Going to wait a few more days for another few nodes to form and then I plan on topping them again. I may go for three this time, but we shall see. Last time I topped twice and got great results.

I am not a specialist in the area of growing plants, I am an enthusiast, the most I have managed to sow is an avocado and the plant has grown enough, I must transplant it, but your production of carbon dioxide has caught my attention, how do you know when the concentration is adequate, I wonder if my plant needs something like that?

Yeah the CO2 seems to work well, I can check levels with a meter I own..

I can have up to 1500ppm for plants, the meter reads 1276ppm so its high but not too high. Ambient is around 300ppm-600ppm.

What are you using for a potting mix? I would think with all the commercial growing now that there is probably more science now on the influence of mineral composition affects the production of certain characteristics.

I don't grow cannabis, but I do grow a lot of different varieties of tomatoes and it has been interesting to see how the soil characteristics change the flavor or productivity of the plants.

My best performers last season were deliberately planted in a compost pile and they had the best flavor by far.

I recycle miracle grow and then use liquid fertilizers to get them the nutrients they need.

Nice, compost piles are great.

The plant was able to grow because they saw a favourable condition which is great to see. You have amazing garden

Hello dear friend @solominer good morning
You are doing a great job with these plants, they look great despite being only two weeks old.
You have good knowledge and apply it very well, not to mention that you have good equipment to maintain them.
Thank you very much for sharing this update
Have a splendid morning

probably another two months. I will start flowering it in a month or less once it gets tall enough. And then another month before we see visible buds.

its okay man

Pretty nice plant. I think every plant has benefits that are good enough for us to cultivate. I think this plant is a good friend of cultivation. It is a good plant and I like the techniques for cultivating it.

These Zebra Stripe cannabis plants look super cool, and you're doing a great job with them. They are as healthy as can be.

They are about to take right off with vigorous growth real soon, especially with that yeast and sugar mix blowing around CO2 in there.

I love that little markdown chart you made showing the plant details too, super awesome bro.
