A NEW JOURNEY TO A NEW WORLD OF ADVENTURES

Hi i'm @solinek a newbie in this platform and i'm from the Philippines. This platform is been introduce to me by @suteru a long time member of this platform. Mr. @suteru give me a brief background about this platform. And it got my interest because of my love in photography, travel and foods.

Before i will continue in my introduction i would like to give a big thanks to @suteru in introducing this platform to me. I can't say i'm good in writing but i will do my best to express my thoughts through blogging. And i hope to gain experience and gain knowledge from you guys and also i want to inspire others to share their memoriable moments by doing blogging.

Once again i'm @solinek a Filipino and currently living here at the Philippines. Im a goverment employee of Department of Environment and Natural Resources as a Park Ranger. I can say that i love my job because i'm just not go to work but i go to places with a beautiful views that sometimes i take picture like a mountain sceneries, rivers, lake and sometimes springs that is refreshing to drinks because of its sweet taste. If we go for hiking mountain for observation of biodiversity monitoring. The thing i look when we are hiking is the springwater because of its refreshing taste that relieved my sweat. Hiking is so tiring because we do three to four hours walk on mountain. When we are in the mountain i take pictures of birds and trees that once you can see from books because some of them now is been instinct and endanger due to hunting by hunters.

MY HOBBIES AND THINGS I LOVE TO DO

My hobbies is travel, cooking, photography.

First. Lets start from travel hobbies. When i don't have work like weekends or holidays i mostly take my motor to go for a rides. Riding my motor give me the feeling of freedom and by going to new places give me happiness and a peace of mind. Sometimes i took rides with my siblings, cousins, and friends. Mostly we go to seasides to have a view of the beach. Sometimes we go out to have a foodtrip as our bonding time and also we do visits friends to say hello and chat with them about life and happenings to thier lifes if they cannot go out to have rides with us. We do not go far when we are having rides or having overnight stay in where we went to because we need to go home before the night to come. But sometimes i want also to stay overnight at the beach with friends while having a picnic. Hoping that day will come.

My second hobby is cooking. I start loving cooking when i was in my high school days. And later on in my college year i took a course related to foods and it is Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. This course is related to Technology in Livelihood Education that later on a teacher of this subject in high school. In this course i learn about culinary, baking, food processing and food and beverage and other skill base subjects. I also teach culinary subject when i have my practical teaching in Benguet National High School and i also handle the National Certificate II (NC2) of grade 10 and grade 11 and im very happy that all my students pass their certification. In weekends, i do cooking when we dont have plan for a rides with friends. Mostly i do meryendas like cupcakes, maja blanca and other sweets and dessert foods. I also compate along with my niece in a school contest that is related to cooking with a theme of making a main entry and a dessert using a single ingredients and that ingridients is taro. This is a native food here at Philippines that cook as meryendas. Mostly the way to cook this food is by steaming it, same with the method of cooking to sweet potato. In this event we do thick soup meatball with taro. This contest need to send a video entry of the process of making the food and have a happy meal with the partner at the end of the video. Im happy to say that i and my niece won first place in both main entry and dessert. My niece also love to cook same as me. Hoping we do again a team up in a contest of cooking.

This is a dessert made by my niece and she is just 8 years old. Hoping this picture will inspire young ones to love cooking and also baking.

Next is photography. Other than travels and cooking i also do photography not by using a DSLR camera but using my mobile phone. From now i cannot yet afford to buy a DSLR camera but im saving for it so that i can shoot more beautiful scenery and event that i go to. When i do travel i mostly take pictures as a memories of where i went to. Also i take pictures of foods from places i ate. But mostly i took picture is beaches,nature, animals, and the events like meeting with a friends, eating with colleagues and bonding with cousins. Sometimes i borrow the DSLR camera of my collegue if i go in an events like sport fest, weddings, outreach programs, charity events and more if the camera is available. We use his camera when we have field work like hiking a trill and if we found a beautiful view, birds or animals that is less to be seen. Part of our job is to monitor the conservation area and protect it from instinction. If i can buy a second hand camera i will share all the pictures that i will took. Because using a mobile phone, the quality of picture is low and hard to catch far images like birds but using a DSLR camera with long range lens i can catch far distance image and have a clear shoots.
