Sometimes in nature, we come across plants that appear very humble but hold their own form of beauty. The green Wood Sorrel is one of these. Its scientific name is Oxalis acetosella. It has little heart-shaped leaves and typically grows in dark, dank areas. At first some might consider it a weed. However upon closer inspection it has a soft natural charm.

This plant’s most interesting fact is that it closes its leaves at night or in the rain. Almost like it’s shy. The leaves are mildly sour, but the real beauty lies in its appearance.

This little green plant is a reminder to me that nature and beauty aren’t always see—you just have to look with a little more care.
