The wild or Carolina horsenettle flower is a common annual species found in forests and various isolated areas, particularly abundant in Bangladesh. These flowers, which thrive in warm and humid environments, are often overlooked due to their thorny nature.

Typically round with yellow petals and a black or brown center, some local varieties appear white, while others feature yellow and black. Although these medium-sized flowers flourish in Bangladesh, they do not receive the care needed to grow beautifully.

While the wild horsenettle is easy to cultivate, it is not commonly grown in Bangladesh, unlike in other countries where it is more widely appreciated. The flowers prefer sunny locations with well-drained soil and require careful moisture management.
