Welcome to the first above-ground station of the Prague Metro, which I decided to document and also share the results with you. The station is called Vyšehrad and it could be said that it is the station with the best view in Prague. Several well-known monuments can be seen from its surroundings.

Vítejte v první nadzemní stanici Pražského metra, které jsem se rozhodl zdokumentovat a také se s Vámi s výsledky podělit. Stanice se jmenuje Vyšehrad a dalo by se říci, že to je stanice s nejlepším výhledem v Praze. Z jejího okol je vidět několik velmi známých monumentů.

Until 1990, the station was called Gottwaldova, after the first communist president. Unlike most other stations, trains run in the center and the platforms are on the edges. And that's because the track continues to the bridge structure over the Nuselské údolí. That is why the bridge is called Nuselský. Materials such as Vahlovice granite and Silesian granite were used and Lipová marble - dark.

Stanice se do roku 1990 jmenovala Gottwaldova, podle prvního komunistického prezidenta. Vlaky narozdíl od většiny ostatních stanic jezdí středem a nástupiště jsou po okrajích. A to z důvodu, že trať dále pokračuje do mostní konstrukce přes Nuselské údolí. Proto se mostu říká Nuselský. Použity byly materiály jako Vahlovická žula, Slezská žula a Lipovský mramor - tmavý.

Při čekání na soupravu si čas, můžete krátit výhledem do přilehlého parku. Nebo sledovat východ či západ slunce pokud jste zde ve správný čas. Pro cestu mezi nástupišti je nutné použít podchod pod kolejištěm, který je obložen modrými dlaždicemi.
