Jan Hus Trail / Jakobsweg - Nurnberg Hbf - Schwabach (GER) / Day 12 and half

Welcome to another article from the journey in the footsteps of Jan Hus from Prague to Constance. I'm back. It had been a long 17 days since I had been on the road. So, in the next 8 weeks I will share with you the experiences I had along the way. The places I visited and in the end everything will develop differently than I expected. So let's hit the road.

Vítám všechny u dalšího článku z cesty ve stopách Jana Husa z Prahy do Kostnice. Jsem zpět. Bylo to dlouhých 17 dní, co jsem byl na cestě. Takže v příštích 8 týdnech se s Vámi podělím o zážitky co jsem cestou zažil. Místa která jsem navštívil a vše se nakonec vyvine jinak, než jsem předpokládal. Pojďme tedy vyrazit.

The whole plan to go on the road again was born before the penultimate weekend in July. Because this weekend a friend planned a 40th birthday party at our favorite forest cabin. Unfortunately, an friend also lost his life by drowning in the river that week. So the whole weekend turned into the ultimate drinking binge. And that's why I had to cleanse my body, with some hard hiking. And that's why I bought a train ticket to Nuremberg on the morning of Monday, July 22nd. Where I arrived after noon. I bought groceries for 2 days in the shop near train station. And then he set off on the St. James's Way, marked like a seashell, towards the south.

Celý plán vyrazit opět na cestu se zrodil před předposledním víkendem v červenci. Jelikož právě na tento víkend kamarád plánoval oslavu 40 narozenin na našem oblíbeném lesním srubu. Naneštěstí v tomto týdnu i jeden známý přišel nešťastnou náhodou o život, když se utopil v řece. Takže se celý víkend se proměnil v ultimátní pití alkoholu. A proto jsem musel očistit svoje tělo, nějakou tou námahou v podobě turistiky. A proto jsem v pondělí 22. července ráno koupil jízdenku na vlak do Norimberka. Kam jsem dorazil lehce po poledni. V obchodě u nádraží jsem nakoupil potraviny na 2 dny. A poté vyrazil po Svatojakubské stezce značené jako mušle směrem k jihu.

At first the trail led around the Ludwig-Donau Main kanal. Which was very nice because the path was around water under mature trees. And that came in handy on a warm summer day. The only thing I had to be careful of was not to go down the wrong path. Because at one point the trail splits into two options. And I wanted to go on the way to Oettingen in Bayern by the western route, which is followed by the Hus trail.

Nejprve stezka vedla kolem kanálu Ludwig-Donau Main kanal. Což bylo velmi příjemné, protože cesta byla kolem vody pod vzrostlými stromy. A to přišlo vhod v teplém letním dni. Jediné na co jsem si musel dát pozor, abych nešel špatnou cestou. Jelikož se v jednom místě stezka rozděluje na dvě možnosti. A já jsem chtěl jít cestou na Oettingen in Bayern západní cestou, kterou následuje také Husova cesta.

The first town after the road splits is Kornburg. Where the path leads around a small water castle from 1276, which today serves as summer accommodation.

První městečko poté co se cesta rozděluje je Kornburg. Kde stezka vede kolem malého vodního hradu z roku 1276, který dnes slouží jako letní ubytování.

In one of the highway underpasses, I was struck by the texture of the concrete, which looked as if the tunnel was built of wood. And all this thanks to the formwork material used.

V jednom z dálničních podchodů mě zaujala textura betonu, která vypadala, jako by tunel byl postaven ze dřeva. A to vše díky použitému materiálu na bednění.

The journey continued under the aqueduct of the current Danube Canal. The largest aquaduct I have ever seen. Unfortunately, this building could not be photographed well enough. To the area where the Schwarzach and Rednitz rivers meander, where are many big mills.

Cesta dále pokračovala pod akvaduktem současného Dunajského kanálu, největšího akvaduktu který jsem kdy viděl. Bohužel tato stavba nešla dost dobře vyfotit. Do oblasti kde meandrují říčky Schwarzach a Rednitz kde je spousta velkých mlýnů.

From which I approached the town of Schwabach through a few meadows. I knew the name only by the type of font that was created here. In which the Bible was written in German for the first time, around the year 1500. The city is also known for gold processing, especially plating.

Od kterých jsem se přes pár luk přiblížil k městu Schwabach. Jméno jsem znal pouze podle druhu písma, které zde vzniklo. Ve kterém byla poprvé napsaná bible v němčině, kolem roku 1500. Dále je město známo díky zpracování zlata, především plátování.

Which was used to cover one of the towers on the roof of the town hall.

Což bylo použito na krytinu jedné z věžiček na střeše radnice.

A baroque fountain stands in the center of the square. I must say that the town is quite photogenic, but unfortunately I had quite limited options. Because after the weekend there was quite a large amount of all the material lying around after some form of celebration.

Ve středu náměstí stojí barokní fontána. Musím říci, že je městečko dost fotogenické, ale bohužel jsem měl dost omezené možnosti. Protože po víkendu zde bylo dost velké množství veškerého materiálu, který se zde povaloval asi po nějaké formě slavnosti.

Since darkness was approaching uncomfortably fast, I had to hit the road. A very strange lamp I saw in one of the vintage shops would certainly be useful in the dark if I had electricity.

Vzhledem k tomu, že se nepříjemně rychle blížila tma tak jsem musel vyrazit na cestu. Určitě by se mi za tmy hodila velmi divná lampa, kterou jsem viděl v jednom z obchodů s historickými věcmi, kdybych měl elektřinu.

I also saw this still life in one of the houses before I entered the forest. Two generations of the BMW 6 series in the same color. The half the day on the road I ended up in the forest in a wooden shelter because I wasn't sure if it would rain. Despite the fact that I planned something around 20 km for the afternoon. I ended the day with a value of almost 30 km, mainly thanks to the fact that the road was almost always flat.

V jednom z domů než jsem vešel do lesa jsem uviděl i toto zátiší. Dvě generace BMW řady 6 ve stejné barvě. Polovinu dne na cestách jsem zakončil v lese v dřevěném přístřešku, protože jsem si nebyl jist zda nebude pršet. Přesto, že jsem plánoval něco kolem 20 km na odpoledne. Den jsem zakončil na hodnotě skoro 30 km a to především díky tomu, že cesta byla skoro pořád po rovině.
