My lazy little furry Munchkins
It's raining here and the weather has cooled down considerably. Actually it's the right kind of weather for reading a book, seated by a window sipping a hot cup of coffee. The weather may sometimes cool down even further making you want to curl in bed under a warm blanket and listen to an audio book. However, these are not the things little dogs can do, right? They are just bored and sleepy, even their brothers are not there to play ball with them.
My fluffy munchkins just sleep all day and who can blame them? This little Missy (Zoe) wants to be tucked into bed at night, she finds it really hard to jump into her bed these days. It's pure, unadulterated laziness. Sometimes I wonder how much we will put up for our little fur babies. No task is too hard when it comes to keeping these dear little brats happy.
Spark has been so lazy that he does even want to come down the stairs to eat his food. He got to the head of the stairs and fell asleep right there. All he wants to do is to sleep on his blankie all day, he doesn't sleep in his bed until the temperature goes below 15*c which is like pretty cold for those of us living in countries with tropical weather conditions.
When it is warm this is a posture that Spark will adopt to keep himself cool. He would sleep with his nose to the wall, as if the coolness of the wall will keep him cool. I took this picture today when it was a bit warm in the evening. The lack of adequate light gives this picture a dull look.
Lady Zoe is giving me the killer looks because I called out to her and disturbed her sleep. Her highness also refuses to walk on the wet road when we take her out to do her job. She takes one step forward and then hurtles back inside like some electric bolt struck her. On some days we need to carry her to her favorite spot to pee and do the big job. Since my back is out of whack I don't carry her, the poor hubs has to do that most of the time.
Hot soup is what they will have, this has to be freshly made, if they sense that the soup has been take out of the fridge and heated before it was served they would turn up their noses up and walk away. Zoe will at least eat a wee bit to keep her going while Spark can stay without having a morsel for a couple of days, sending us on a guilt trip. I would then end up begging them to eat or making some fresh soup again for them.
Zoe can be really adamant if she wants to. Look at her sticking her tongue out at me because I woke her up. Maybe she was trying to wet her dry nose, maybe I am reading too much into this gesture of hers. However, she is a spoiled brat I can assure you of that.
It's really hard to see them together like this. Spark just doesn't approve of Zoe's boorishness. He is a gentle dog and loves those around him to be gentle as well. He ignores her most of the time and keep his distance with her - physically and geographically. Here in this shot he is too sleepy to realize that she is in his face.
Zoe is the more active of the two and stays downstairs where she can play with her toys. However with the weather being this way she just doesn't want to wake up. However, throw a ball around and she will come alive magically.
My awake little Spark, lol he is trying very hard to listen to every word I am saying, but his eyelids are betraying him. He is falling asleep while I am talking to him. Its funny to see him sleep and fall off his seat sometimes.
Someone please get my Munchkins some hot soup to keep them awake. Don't worry my dahlings mama's got that covered. There is some steaming hot soup comin your way! Can you see that sweet Zoe smile!!! Do you like these cute bundles of happiness?
Que hermosos realmente lindos...
