If only pets could talk

Spark enjoys his everyday afternoon chat with me. We sit side by side and have a heart to heart instead of taking a afternoon nap. However, today he wasn't so keen on having a chat with me I guess. The fact that I had given him a facial didn't go down too well with his macho image. Nah I didn't give him a facial just a facial hair cut. His hair was covering his eyes, mouth and and the hair on his ears were filthy with all the food that was stuck on it from the bowl from which he ate.

The hair cut took us more than an hour. Spark doesn't take these haircuts happily. He hates having to stand in one position for a long time on a high stool. He wouldn't mind standing for hours if he could look at the world around him. Besides it annoys him to a huge extent when I cut the hair around his eyes and his mouth. He is a good natured boy so he doesn't show his annoyance towards me usually. However, today was a bit different.

Spark doesn't like the fact that his haircut ate into our chat time. He whined until I put him up on the bed and spoke to him for a while but his reactions today were funny. At first he barked at me, a kind of confused bark between anger and sweet talk. Then he scratched on the bed as if he wanted to fight with me and then he calmed down and was ready for a talk. The annoyance is clear on his face.

He seemed a little annoyed and a bit restless and wouldn't stand in once place though for about five minutes. He got all the more annoyed when I shoved my phone in his face to take pictures of his every mood. He wanted to pose for the pictures, but his restlessness wouldn't let him do so. He scratched on the bed sheet and made a mess of the bed which is contrary to his sweet nature. Nonetheless, this bad mood lasted only for a few minutes.

He started to get bored after I had taken a few photographs. He yawned and stretched before sitting up the a position he loves to sit. This image shows his bored look, it was as if Spark was asking me isn't this enough, come on let get some serious talk underway.

This is his serious chat time look. He kind of looks me in the ye when I sweet talk him. Today he was distracted by my phone. I am the only one in our home who can baby him. I carry him around and talk to him like he is a baby, but he won't allow anyone else to do this to him. He growls if anyone tries to baby talk him or carry him.

After a short talk and a few kisses Spark was back to being his sweet self. Spark loves giving me hugs and kisses every afternoon, the number of hugs he gives depends on his mood and his will. However, if I ask for more he pretends to be deaf and I get his annoyed look.

After a little while he expresses his wish to get off the bed and run away to do his personal stuff. Actually he loves sleeping in his own bed. He usually goes out for his evening walk with the hubs. That is dad and children time, I don't get into that routine.

I just wanted to share my usual afternoon afternoon fun with my little guy. The girl usually sleeps after a active morning of playing ball and tug of war with dad.
