With my guitar | Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

I remember it was Saturday, around noon, and after going out to do some shopping, I got home and went to my room. The sun was streaming through the window and illuminated the whole place in a way that I liked, so I thought of taking advantage of that natural light to take some pictures.

Recuerdo que era sábado, cerca del mediodía, y después de haber salido a hacer unas compras, llegué a la casa y fui a mi cuarto. Por la ventana se colaba el sol e iluminaba todo el lugar de una manera que me gustó, así que pensé en aprovechar esa luz natural para hacer algunas fotos.

The images I share in this post are from a few years ago, I didn't have a blog and I didn't even share them on social networks, I just did this spontaneous session for the pleasure of practicing photography and because I wanted to have some shots with my guitar.

Las imágenes que comparto en esta publicación son de hace unos años, no tenía un blog y ni siquiera las compartí en redes sociales, simplemente hice esta sesión espontánea por el placer de practicar fotografía y porque quería tener unas tomas con mi guitarra.

I bought this guitar when I was a teenager, I had seen it in a store and I became obsessed with it. I asked how much it cost and they told me that I could pay for it in parts, and that's what I did. With the money my dad gave me for some expenses, I paid little by little until the day came when I took it home.

Esta guitarra la compré cuando era adolescente, la había visto en una tienda y me obsesioné con ella. Pregunté cuánto costaba y me dijeron que existía la posibilidad de pagarla por partes, y eso hice. Con el dinero que me daba mi papá para algunos gastos, fui abonando poco a poco hasta que llegó el día en que me la llevé para mi casa.

Soon after I started taking classes with a teacher a couple of times a week, I still have the notebook with what I wrote down in those classes, it was for a short time but I learned the basics, and the rest was on my own.

Al poco tiempo comencé a tomar clases con un profesor un par de veces por semana, aún conservo el cuaderno con lo que anoté en esas clases, fue por poco tiempo pero aprendí lo básico, y ya lo demás quedaba por mi cuenta.

Among the songs I learned to play in the classes, I remember the Venezuelan songs: Luna de Margarita, Moliendo café, Caballo viejo and Como llora una estrella, and from Spanish folklore La luna y el toro. It's exciting when you realize that you can play music with an instrument!

Entre las canciones que aprendí a tocar en las clases, recuerdo las venezolanas: Luna de Margarita, Moliendo café, Caballo viejo y Como llora una estrella, y del folklore español La luna y el toro. ¡Es emocionante cuando te das cuenta que puedes interpretar música con un instrumento!

Later I leaned more towards my tastes, and through the Internet I was able to learn to play several songs by The Beatles, my favorite group, and other artists as well.

Después me incliné más por mis gustos, y a través de Internet pude aprender a tocar varias canciones de Los Beatles, mi grupo favorito, y también de otros artistas.

I haven't played my guitar for a long time, first it was because of work, I went to live and worked in another city, and let's say I abandoned it, and after I came back home and wanted to take it up again one day, some strings broke and as I didn't get them immediately to replace them, I put it aside again.

Hace bastante tiempo que no toco mi guitarra, primero fue por el tema laboral, me fui a vivir y trabajar en otra ciudad, y digamos que la abandoné, y después que volví a casa y quise retomarla un día, se le rompieron algunas cuerdas y como no las conseguí inmediatamente para reponerlas, la dejé de nuevo a un lado.

Now I’m determined to get back to my guitar, the new stage of our relationship will be the opposite of this last blurry photo I took unintentionally.

Ahora estoy decidida a volver con mi guitarra, la nueva etapa de nuestra relación será todo lo contrario a esta última foto borrosa que hice sin querer.

By the way, all these images that are my entry to the #monomad challenge, I took them with the self-timer function of the camera, as I didn't have a tripod, I placed it on different objects, such as a chair, a stool and even the guitar neck.

Por cierto, todas estas imágenes que son mi entrada al reto #monomad, las tomé con la función de autodisparador de la cámara, como no tenía trípode, la coloqué sobre diferentes objetos, como una silla, un banquito e incluso el mástil de la guitarra.
