The Firefighters' Wall - CCC's Street Art Contest #268 [ENG-ESP]

A couple of days ago, by chance, I passed by the street where the city's fire station is located, and I was surprised to see that they had painted a large mural there.

It was freshly painted; you could still smell the paint in the air, so I thought that perhaps it wasn't finished yet, especially since it lacked the artist's signature. That's why I didn't take any photos of it that day.

Today I went back there with the intention of photographing it, and it seemed to be ready, so here it is.

It was a little difficult because this morning there was too much sun on one side, while the wall of the mural was in shadow, and this prevented me from seeing the shots I was taking very well, but anyway, I think they didn't turn out too bad.

This mural is located in La Victoria, Venezuela, and as we can see, it depicts in a striking and colorful style, a firefighter wearing his mask, in the midst of fighting the fire.

I cannot provide any information about the artist; there was no signature on the wall, so for now, it is an anonymous work.

What do you think of this artwork? I really like it; I think it gives this street and the fire station a vibrant look. See you next time!

How lovely, Sofía. One day I took part in creating a mural, and I really enjoyed breathing in the smell of paint—it felt as if I were absorbing all that art through three of my senses: smell, sight, and touch… well, I was also listening closely to the artists’ conversations, haha… very interesting ones.

It must have been a lot of fun to participate! 😃 I think muralism is an art form that's sometimes underappreciated; it's not easy to create a large-scale work that makes an impact on passersby.

Yes, you’re right. And often it’s very fleeting. That mural we made was erased a few years ago. I’ll try to see if I have any photos of it.

True! Most of them are ephemeral. I hope you get those photos and show them 😉.
