Some thoughts and some photos [ENG-ESP]
One of the things I like about street photography, is that from one sidewalk to another I can encounter such different landscapes and things that it feels like I've traveled to other spaces and times.
Una de las cosas que me gusta de la fotografía callejera, es que de una acera a otra me puedo encontrar con paisajes y cosas tan distintas, que hasta parece que hubiese viajado a otros espacios y tiempos.
The mental exercise involved in taking this type of photo, makes us understand, when capturing a certain image, that our thoughts are not linear and sometimes not even coherent. It is interesting when something catches our attention and we stop to photograph it, because it has to do with all the material, references, images, etc., that we carry in our heads.
El ejercicio mental que implica hacer este tipo de fotos, nos hace comprender que al capturar una determinada imagen, nuestros pensamientos no son lineales, y a veces, ni siquiera coherentes. Es interesante cuando algo nos llama la atención y nos detenemos a fotografiarlo, porque tiene que ver con todo el material, las referencias, las imágenes, etc., que llevamos en la cabeza.
Sometimes we know why we take a photo, but other times we discover it when we are editing it... or never. As they say, what we wanted to express is open to interpretation by whoever sees that image.
A veces sabemos por qué tomamos una foto, pero otras veces lo descubrimos cuando la estamos editando... o nunca. Como dicen por ahí, lo que quisimos expresar queda a libre interpretación de quien vea esa imagen.
As you can see, this post contains random scenes from the street. I've been collecting them over the last few days and I liked them to publish them alongside these thoughts.
Como pueden ver, esta publicación contiene escenas aleatorias o random de la calle. Las he ido recopilando estos últimos días y me gustaron para publicar junto a estos pensamientos.
In these shots, there were some recurring elements, which I realized later, such as the color yellow.
En estas fotos había algunos elementos recurrentes, de los que me di cuenta después, como el color amarillo.
And also some old or abandoned doors where blue was present.
Y también algunas puertas viejas o abandonadas donde el azul estaba presente.
And to finish off this sort of urban collage, here's a facade. I'm always hunting for facades of houses and buildings, I love it! And I found this one very peculiar. What do you think?
Y para finalizar esta especie de collage urbano, les dejo una fachada. Siempre estoy cazando fachadas de casas y edificios, ¡me encanta! Y esta que encontré me pareció muy peculiar. ¿Qué opinan?
