Rural landscape with horses / Paisaje rural con caballos

The good thing about living in a small city surrounded by nature is that as soon as you leave the center, you can find beautiful rural landscapes.

On my way to a plant nursery on the outskirts of town, I passed by an old colonial-era hacienda that is now a hotel, and in its gardens I saw a group of horses grazing and playing.

This immediately caught my attention, not only because I like horses and wanted to see them up close, but also because the scene looked like something out of an old painting, one of those paintings with aged frames that you see in art museums. I don't know if it was the shade provided by the trees, the sun peeking through, or something else, but that was the feeling I got from the atmosphere.

There were five horses, four of them eating and walking back and forth, and the smallest one was sitting, rolling around from time to time in the grass, which looked damp, probably because it had been watered recently, I guess it wanted to cool off.

Lo bueno de vivir en una ciudad pequeña con mucha naturaleza alrededor es que apenas te alejas un poco del centro, puedes encontrar bellísimos paisajes de tipo rural.

Yendo hacia un vivero que queda en uno de los extremos de la ciudad, pasé por una vieja hacienda de la época colonial que actualmente es un hotel, y en sus jardines vi a un grupo de caballos que pastaban y se recreaban.

Esto me atrajo inmediatamente, y no solamente porque me gustan los caballos y quería verlos más de cerca, sino también porque la escena parecía sacada de un cuadro antiguo, uno de esos con marco envejecido que están en los museos de arte. No sé si era la sombra que proporcionaban los árboles, el sol que se colaba entre ellos u otra cosa, pero esa fue la sensación que me transmitió el ambiente.

Había cinco caballos, cuatro de ellos comían y caminaban de un lado a otro, y el más pequeño estaba sentado, revolcándose de vez en cuando en la hierba que se veía húmeda, seguramente la habían regado hace poco, supongo que quería refrescarse.
