Family visits are sometimes a great opportunity to revisit beautiful places, make a nice tour and share, because it is about having a good time with our family and also that the time is of quality, fun and that allows us to keep memories.

A week ago, my sister who was visiting us expressed her desire to go to the Basilica of the Virgin Chiquinquira (our Chinita) in the city of Maracaibo, and obviously with all the issue of transportation, gasoline and all that that occupies us in the country we also had time without making this visit.

So we got ready for a "marabina" afternoon and we went from Cabimas to Maracaibo, all as a family, the trip is always farther going than coming back, that usually happens, besides crossing the bridge again was nostalgic, I remembered every Saturday of going to school when I did the same trip in my car, back then.

One of the nicest things is to feel that overflowing emotion when arriving at the Basilica, I faithfully believe that being regionalists comes in a chip implanted in us from birth, although it is not necessary to be as flashy as some people.

Arriving at the temple of the "Chinita" my surprise is that my daughter "Haniel" was amazed with the architecture of the place, the truth is that they are beautiful lines, murals and finishes with an air of romanticism trapped in the baroque art. And although she had already been there, she was too young to remember those details.

My family is "Mariana", followers of Mary's life and those of us who venerate the mother of God, so in this place faith unites us more in that family bond. Respecting any idiosyncrasy, it is a beautiful temple of peace.

Las visitas familiares a veces son una gran oportunidad para volver a visitar sitos hermosos, hacer un recorrido agradable y compartir, porque se trata de pasarla bien con los nuestros y además de que el tiempo sea de calidad, divertido y que nos permita guardar recuerdos.

Hace una semana, mi hermana que estaba de visita nos expresó su deseo de ir a la Basílica de la Virgen Chiquinquirá (nuestra Chinita) en la ciudad de Maracaibo, y obviamente con todo el tema del transporte, la gasolina y todo eso que nos ocupa en el país nosotras también teníamos tiempo sin hacer esta visita.

Así que nos alistamos para una tarde “marabina” y nos fuimos desde Cabimas a Maracaibo, todos en familia, el recorrido siempre es más lejos de ida que de vuelta, eso suele pasar, además volver a cruzar el Puente fue nostálgico, recordé cada sábado de ir a clases cuando hacía el mismo recorrido en mi auto, en aquel entonces.

Una de las cosas más lindas es sentir esa desbordada emoción al llegar a la Basílica, fielmente creo que eso de ser regionalistas nos viene en un chip implantado desde el nacimiento, aunque no es necesario ser tan llamativo como algunas personas.

Al llegar al templo de la “Chinita” mi sorpresa es que mi hija “Haniel” se encontraba maravillada con la arquitectura del lugar, la verdad es que son líneas, murales y acabados hermosos con un aire de romanticismo atrapado en lo barroco del arte. Y aunque ella ya había estado allí, era entonces muy pequeña para recordar esos detalles.

Mi familia es “Mariana”, seguidores de la vida de María y de los que veneramos a la madre de Dios, así que en este lugar la fe nos une más en ese vínculo familiar. Respetando cualquier idiosincrasia, es un hermoso templo de paz.

Fue una linda tarde marabina, de fe y familia que renovaba su creencia en la majestuosa “Basílica de la Chinita de Maracaibo.”
