Travel to the Island of Gods: Bali, Tanah Lot Temple, and Love Beach

I had the opportunity to go to Bali in the middle of a working day, the office leadership told me to take part in activities related to my work at the office as an IT Engineer, these activities were held on Thursday, and I departed from Aceh on Wednesday so as not to be late while anticipating flight delays or other unexpected things. The event only lasted one day so I took the opportunity to take a day off on Friday while on vacation in Bali after completing the training.

In this post, I will share my first experiences when visiting Bali, exploring tourist attractions that must be visited on vacation when in Bali.

After completing the training, I was finally able to enjoy a holiday in Bali for a few days. First, I visited a tourist spot called "Tanah Lot Temple" which is located on the coast of Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, Bali.

I went to the location using an online taxi from hotels around Denpasar City, which took about 20 minutes, and arrived at the Tanah Lot Temple location. I was stunned by the scenery that I had never seen before, this was my first time going to Bali, and I was absolutely amazed.

I photographed the outside area of the temple, the clear blue sky and white clouds adorning the sky made me relax to see it, plus around it, there were trees and green plants that looked very shady. Then I photographed a building with a red roof called "Bale Gong Pura Luhur Tanah Lot", then I took a picture of a carved wall building that looks like an alternative entrance to the temple. I don't know the name, so I just took a picture of it because it's interesting.

I took a picture of a black building which is a place for Hindus in Bali, there is a sign that gives a warning "No Entry Except Praying", I continued to walk around the temple area while taking pictures around

The unique thing about Tanah Lot Temple is that it is located like an island floating in the middle of the sea, when I was there, I was not allowed to go to the temple near the sea because the sea water was high tide, while waiting for the sea to recede I circled other areas to take pictures.

In the photo above, I am standing near the safety barrier which cannot be crossed during high tide, you can see the Tanah Lot Temple building surrounded by the sea looks very beautiful. The building looks very natural because it is formed from rocks and a lot of trees surrounding the temple.

After waiting for about 15 minutes the seawater slowly started to recede, I took pictures of the rocks being hit by the waves and then walked to another area near the temple.

This is the main Gate to Tanah Lot Temple, the design of the building is so artistic with the characteristics of Balinese Hindu culture, I salute the local people and continue to take good care of it even though it is visited by many foreign and local tourists. As long as I walk around this area, I don't see any trash, the area is clean and comfortable for visiting tourists.

Even though it looks tacky, I will never stop being amazed by this place because of its natural beauty which is not boring to look at, and I feel very grateful for all these blessings and happiness.

Still waiting for the sea to recede, I walked around the main door of the temple and then passed several red-roofed buildings around the temple door, and then I walked around. The strange thing is that I didn't feel the slightest bit tired even though I had walked for a long time and circled every area of this Tanah Lot Temple, maybe the effect was to enjoy it until fatigue disappears instantly when you see this extraordinary sight.

While walking, I saw the Ethnic Music Monument that read "Protection of Tanah Lot Temple" which was inaugurated by President Megawati Soekarno Putri, then I walked a little further and took pictures of Tanah Lot Temple from a distance the results were so attractive, we can see how beautiful the scenery around the temple is.

I walked in another direction that was a bit far from the temple near the sea and then took several pictures from different angles, the results were no less beautiful than other angles.

Not long after, I continued to walk closer to the temple because the sea water began to recede slowly, and many tourists start to walk there, the officers began to move the warning signs so that visitors could pass them.

I asked the local people who were passing by to take some pictures of me, and they were very friendly and kind to comply with my request to take pictures many times, I felt bad for being a bother, but they looked happy, and they didn't feel bothered by my request. You can see the result for yourself, how polite and friendly Balinese people are to help tourists without asking the slightest fee.

The buildings around the entrance to the temple are dominated by black, the bricks on the floor are also black, and I also happen to be wearing a black batik shirt, everything around there looks harmonious but not monotonous.

I took a selfie from the front gate of the temple wearing white flowers on the side, I bought these flowers from a from local residents who sell local accessories for tourists visiting Tanah Lot Temple.

The previously blue sky slowly started to get cloudy, making the surroundings a bit darker, but the orange light from the sun still made the sky above still beautiful to look at. It can be seen that even though the dark clouds are starting to appear, the view of the sky around the temple is still charming and gives a sense of calm when looking at it.

After spending several hours enjoying the beauty of Tanah Lot Temple, I was ready to go to "Love Beach" to see and enjoy the Sunset there. The trip to the Sunset location passed through rice fields and hills, we can see from a distance you can see people relaxing near the "love beach" while waiting for Sunset; 10 minutes later, I arrived at the beach and looked for the right place to enjoy the Sunset landscape.

While taking a break after exploring Tanah Lot Temple, I ordered Ice Lemon Tea to relieve the heat and keep my body hydrated; A few moments later, I started taking pictures of the scenery around Love Beach. Finally, the sun started to set, I was amazed to see the view of the evening sky from this love beach, the dark cloudy sky mixed with the mega orange from the rest of the sunlight gave me beauty and serenity that made me feel hypnotized by the beauty of this nature.

The more the sun sets, the darker the sky seems to send a message that night has come and we are getting ready to go back to the hotel because the body feels like it already wants to soak in the tub and rest on the bed.

That's my story when I traveled to Tanah Lot Temple and Love Beach, I enjoyed my vacation time in Bali, and in the next post, I will share stories from other tourist attractions in Bali. Thank you to all of you who read this blog.

I hope the feeling of happiness that I write reaches all of you who read it.

Sorry if there are mistakes in writing or if there are words that are not understandable, I am also still a beginner in writing blogs, and the photos I take only use the camera from a smartphone, so the results may not be as pro as the others, even so, I am still proud of all the photos which I have photographed.

The water on the beach looks rough but the place is beautiful. Just may not be a good idea to take a swim.

I also thought about swimming because the sea is very tempting, but the beaches around are not allowed to swim. Rules are rules, right?
