Have you ever gone to Niagara falls? I have about once a year but normally we make it between spring and summer this year we have changed up how we do Christmas. I am tired of spending all this month on gifts and toys and the commercialization on Christmas so we are starting our own tradition and going on vacation from now on.

Well, this year we headed to Niagara falls, to start we barely made it down with the massive snow squalls and blizzards we got in Ontario. With highways closed due to multiple pileups 50-100 cars and trucks on both highways. I was forced to take the side roads. This led to a 6 hours drive for a spot that is actually only 3 hours away.

Once we got to the hotel we were able to check in, they had a sweet little Christmas tree set up,

You can see this is the view from our floor, the lights are already on and shiny, and they do the light show every night, this is cool as it helps you see the falls at night.

This is part 1 of Christmas in Niagara, I'll be posting parts of the trip with the Niagara light show coming up next.
