Wednesday Walk: Harvard University

While in Boston, Whitley and I went to Harvard University. It is the oldest university (1636) in the United States and is super prestigious.

Memorial HallEntranceWidner LibraryThe John Harvard Statue

There was a long line of people waiting in line to touch the John Harvard statue's foot. Really? Even after Covid, people want to wait in line to touch something that hundreds of other people touched? To each their own.

As we passed the statue I overhear a father talking to his child saying, "This is where you will come some day." There seemed to be a lot of families there, maybe inspiring their children to get a great education.

I was really sad that both Memorial Hall and the Widner Library required Harvard IDs. I wanted to see the John Singer Sargent murals in the library and the stained glass in Memorial Hall. Maybe someday? Anyone on Hive in Boston and have a Harvard ID?

So we wandered around the courtyard for a little bit, then went to the Art Museum.

After the Harvard Art Museum (REALLY GREAT) we went to the graduated education part of the university. I really liked it there, much quieter and some pretty great buildings too.

It was fun to visit this historic and famous university!

Hello dear friend @sjarvie5 good morning
I have read that this university is the dream of many parents for their children, as you say, it is very prestigious.
In this Corrientes-Argentina area there has been a resurgence of Covid, it would never occur to me to go after something that everyone has touched massively
Beautiful place for a Wednesday walk, you have taken beautiful shots
I take this opportunity to wish you a great day.

So this is how Harvard University looks like.

Harvard is a dream of all. Even in our poor countryside which is very far away from the United States, when we were young we were told about how prestigious Harvard is and how excellent the students there!

Thanks for showing us to this walk Maam.!😍

Sad since you didn't let us see the indoors, or maybe that's the limit. I think I would not fit there, to be honest lol. Not smart enough.

No one arranges their pictures like you on this blockchain my dear friend as you never seem to amaze us with your style.

Sorry you couldn't get into the Widner Library with out the card, maybe you just might find someone with Harvard ID pretty soon.

This is a place where it is a dream of every Pakistani to go to study and few people can go here who are the richest people of Pakistan, their children study here and then return to Pakistan after studying. This place is very beautiful and the map is also very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
