Tunneling in Norway

(Edited)

There are five things we saw a lot of in Norway.

  1. Sheep
  2. Teslas
  3. Roundabouts
  4. Waterfalls
  5. Tunnels

Especially up in the mountain areas we were in tunnels a lot. I decided to get creative with my camera and get some tunnel shots!

Long exposure

Here are some interesting facts about Tunneling in Norway

  1. The first Norwegian road tunnel was built in 1884.
  2. The great breakthrough for traffic tunnelling came with the construction of the Bergen Railway in 1909. (We took the Bergen Railway)
  3. 182 tunnels were constructed as part of this first rail connection between east and west of Norway
  4. Today Norway has more than 1800 road and rail tunnels
  5. The total length of Norway's tunnels well over 621 miles (1000 km)

Going in

Coming out

Arizona is a mostly flat desert and there are not tunnels here. So it was a fun treat to see and drive through so many tunnels!

The country has gone to electric vehicles and seems to prefer Tesla. It is really amazing to see all the charging stations making it so you can go all over the country with an electric car.

People's using electric cars and save fuel or money. In our country no one like to use electric cars because charging station is not available in our country. Your photography always best and perfect. Happy to know about the valuable knowledge of Norway. First picture is my favorite in your photography.
