Share Our World: Hagafoss, Norway
One of my favorite memories of the trip to Norway was our stop at this gorgeous Red church in Hagafoss. Hagafoss is a small village in Hol, Norway.

There is not much online about the church. I found that it is made of wood and was built in 1924 and has 400 seats. We didn't go in as it was later in the day and closed. We spent our time wandering around the cemetery. I am a person that really enjoys cemeteries.
This one had especially beautiful and interesting headstones.
I like to imagine the people and when they lived. I also like to think that they, and all of us, all have people that love and miss us.

It was so quite and peaceful walking around the church grounds and seeing the loving details all around us.

We also walked around and took pictures of these beautiful buildings on the water coming into town. Another thing I like about this cute little village is that it is fun to say Hagafoss!

The church looks amazing in color and structure. Knowing that it's old, the villager must have taken care of the church so well.
We are opposite, I am scared of cemeteries and barely couldn't look at those tombstones. huhu.
Hi @callmesmile yes, it almost 100 years old. So cool to see how well taken care of it and the grounds around it were was so nice.
That church is beautiful despite it's age. I can say that they maintained it well. Not to mention that it was built with woods.
Walking in that cemetery looks enjoyable since the paths are covered with those greens..and those stones are unique with each other. Looks cool also.
Yes, the headstones were very interesting and unique!
Norway is so beautiful. The place looks so peaceful and calm. I also love the church, it is really well maintained by the locals.
You are so lucky to visit that amazing place. Have a great stay!
Thank you so much. It was a wonderful trip.
Hi. I m big fan of your photography. Hagafoss is very wonderful village. One day i am coming in norway and visit this village. People's maintain his village perfectly. Last picture is my favorite in your photography.
Thank you again @djbravo
This post includes the both sides of our life, One is colourful and alive and other is dark and death. The charch building is beautiful and full of colours and there are graves which tell us deatlh is the reality of our life and we all have to die one day.
Yes, there is a reality and finality of death.
That church is really interesting!! the site and colors looks really pretty but looking it at different perspective, with the proper color grading at night that scenery could work for a zombie-horror movie hahaha
That could be true, I have never seen any zombie-horror movie. It was lovely and peaceful while I was there.
Thank you for sharing! Norway is high on my to visit list👍
Hi @haastrecht I hope you get there soon.
I will. Maybe next year I will travel there in my van!
Thanks Sara for sharing such interesting place!
The red houses are very "Nordic" scenic :)
hi @juliusyls Yes, the red houses are stunning against the green landscape and I am sure against the white of the snow in winter.
