Share Our World: Boston Public Library
In July I went to Boston to see the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum. It was amazing. I also discovered how incredible the Boston Public Library is too!
This is the McKim Building in Copley Square. It was built in 1895.
It is a nice building on the outside, designed in Renaissance Revival and Beaux-Arts architecture.

Murals
There are three sets of very impressive murals in the library by John Singer Sargent, Pierre Purvis de Chavannes and Edwin Austin Abby.
Pierre Purvis de Chavannes
Pierre Purvis de Chavannes created The Muses of Inspiration in 1895-1986.

Edwin Austin Abbey
The Abby room was a wonderful, surprising delight. The Quest and Achievement of the Holy Grail murals were installed in 1895-1902.

John Singer Sargent
I was very excited to see the John Singer Sargent murals at the library. I am glad that he inspired me to go cause I really enjoyed seeing the other murals too, especially Abbey's Quest for the Holy Grail.
Sargent's murals are called The Triumph of Religion.

Courtyard
This courtyard was another wonderful surprise. It is cool how you can see some the skyscrapers in Boston from inside the courtyard.

I highly suggest a visit to the Boston Public Library if you are in Boston. It is an architectural and artistic gem.
While I was on the tour of the library the tour guide pointed out the church across the street and said if we had time we should tour the Trinity Church also. I had time and I did and I enjoyed it so much.

Wow this is indeed spectacular!! and you did capture the moment.
This dear friend is beautiful, if I read in such a room I sure as hell will not forget anything😂😂
Good job dear friend!
thanks @ibbtammy so glad you enjoyed the tour of this wonderful library!
You are most welcome🥰
Wow, I love libraries so thank you for taking us to it. The only thing I notice is that those chairs must be uncomfortable for reading (at least for me), because I would spend hours there heh, heh.
Greetings from Venezuela.
Hi @florecitamejias This library and the one in DC are some of the most beautiful buildings I have been in. I need to go to the New York Public Library next time I am there. We tried to go to the Harvard library while we were in Boston and found that you needed a Harvard ID.

From the outside, it looks almost like an ordinary building, but the inside is just stunning!!! Wow... Those murals, chandeliers, ceiling... Gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing! Nice to see you doing well!
Hi @ph1102 so good to hear from you. Yes, it is an incredible place!! Can you believe it has been almost a year since Amsterdam? How are you doing?
Yeah, the year passed very fast! I had plans to come to Mexico this year, but unfortunately, it will not happen... How about you? Will you attend this year's HiveFest?
I am also not going this year.
I am not in Boston, but a visit to the library is worth trying if an opportunity arise.
Also the sight of the triumph of religion pictures are most amazing.
Hi @edystringz Yes, if you get the chance to go to Boston you should visit the library!
Wow, it looks so impressive, reading a book here is really an amazing experience.
Hi @triplug I was so in awe of the art and architecture I didn't even think about reading a book there. Next time I will have to do that in that gorgeous reading room.
The reading room is spectacular, I never thought before that reading a book could be such a beautiful experience.
Amazing place! I guess I missed it for my trip to Boston in August. But I did go to the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum and OMG it was like a dream. 😊 Will share about the experience once I have time to organize my photos. 😄
Hi @deanliu so happy that you went to the ISGM it is my favorite. Here is the post I did on it. It would be fun to see your post too.
