The castle dedicated to Columbus

Hello friends! I hope things are going in the right way, yesterday I picked up some photos I had taken a few years ago of a trip to Andalusia, Spain has always been a country that has always fascinated me, also because it is probably very similar to Italy, so in some way one feels at home, in fact I am thinking of organising some other visit to some other place in Spain.
But today, I want to share with you my visit to a very special castle, this castle is practically a monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus for the discovery of the Americas.

I must say a monument that surprised me a lot, and it was built by some masons from the village of Mijas in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The Castle of Colomares is practically located in Benalmádena near the famous Costa del Sol, and inside this monumental castle is a tiny church that has won the record as one of the smallest churches in the world.

This monument can be described as a mixture of styles, ranging from Gothic to Roman and Byzantine styles.
I had never heard of this monument, and practically discovered it almost by chance when I was staying nearby. It is a visit that in my opinion is also worthwhile because the price of admission, if it has not changed in this period, is only €3.

Then we can also say that it is located in a very scenic spot and completely overlooks the sea, so you can certainly take beautiful pictures here

A tour guide representing me explained that with its 1,500 m2 it is practically one of the largest monuments dedicated to Christopher Columbus in the world.
The important thing I also noticed during my visit was that inside this monumental site there are so many symbols that refer to various religions, Judaism to Christianity and also many Islamic symbols, probably those who built this place and wanted to unite these religions.
