San Miniato it's always nice to see you!

Today another post always on a place particularly dear to me, which I had already told you about at the beginning of the year because it often happens in these parts due to the fact that many friends live here, many people to catch but also because in the Pisa area I have several very important clients and that has been carrying me forward for several years.

Today I will tell you about my visit and exploration of San Miniato as I was telling you a village located in the province of Pisa let's say halfway between Florence and Pisa.
Here too you can immediately notice when you arrive in this place, that the layout of the urban town is medieval, In fact this place also had its maximum splendor during the medieval period.

Unfortunately when I was there it wasn't a beautiful day, so the photos do not do justice in my opinion to this beautiful town, you will almost certainly end up in front of the monument that I had already shown you dedicated to the truffle hunter because San Miniato is renowned for the white truffle produced that is found on the hills nearby and they have also dedicated a festival to this excellent product that is used in cooking.

Another very important point of interest for San Miniato is the actor of Frederick II born actor is governed by the emperor Frederick II, which sometimes I find to be open to the public but unfortunately I have never climbed up but I am sure that from there you can see a beautiful panorama of the entire area around here.

The good thing is that here there are really small paths to walk along and you have beautiful very interesting stairways, and let's say that by climbing a little altitude you can have beautiful views.

And to my surprise there were also quite a few tourists, for being a weekday, and you can see that this interest in the villages is growing not only for those who live in Italy but also for those who come from outside.
Continuing my walk, I found myself at the main church of San Miniato which I was able to visit inside and I must say that I was impressed by the marble columns, beautiful things but above all the ceiling was truly decorated in a perfectionist way.

In the end I visited both the church of San Francesco and the one dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta and San Genesio, but in the whole town as you can see from the photos there was something interesting architecturally, it is difficult to describe in words even the sensations that you feel when visiting these places because it is like taking a leap back in time.

Among other things, and I discovered this by visiting San Miniato, several times because in any case when you visit these places even just once you cannot understand the history that has passed through these parts, In fact here the emperor had the seat of the Vicariate and San Miniato was known as the San Miniato al tedesco precisely because it was influenced let's say by the German populations.

That's why as you can see from the photos every corner of this town is beautiful and there are important buildings because here it has always been the seat of important places first the Vicariate as regards the emperor and then it was also the seat of the bishop and therefore you can understand the importance of this place.
