Hello dear friends,

This is my last post before the well-deserved Easter break. Just yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit a beautiful city in the province of Rovigo in the upper Polesine region. As I write this post, I am already back home with my parents because we will be celebrating Easter tomorrow. As for Easter Monday, I haven't decided on anything yet, but I am sure my friends will surprise me with something beautiful.

I must admit that I have not been able to post much these days because work has kept me very busy. I hope to bring more content in the near future and also be able to read some of yours because I have had little time to interact with other members of this community. I have only managed to take a few moments to see something.

I took some photos in Badia Polesine, a beautiful town with just under 10,000 inhabitants located about 30 km from the provincial capital of Rovigo. Under this post, I will leave you with some useful information to better understand the history of this place, which I honestly didn't know much about until yesterday when I had the opportunity to explore it more.

Badia Polesine has a very ancient history dating back to Roman times, but as you can see from the photos, it was also influenced by the Middle Ages. I was able to see that rice is still produced in its countryside, which was an important part of its traditional cuisine. Yesterday, at the hotel, I had the fortune to taste the famous "riso alla pilota", a rice dish made with ground meat, which was very good, but unfortunately I forgot to take a picture and share it with you.

I also noticed that there is practically a copy of the Ducal Palace of Venice in the historic center of this beautiful city, which surprised me a bit, but probably Badia Polesine was influenced by the Republic of Venice due to its rich history.

Actually, I later discovered that this was an ancient covered market, especially used by fishermen who arrived from the sea to sell their fish to merchants and restaurateurs. So it's not really a private residence like the Ducal Palace of Venice.

I also found out that among the main attractions of Badia Polesine is the National Archaeological Museum, which of course houses archaeological artifacts dating back to Roman times and even before Roman times. Another thing that I unfortunately didn't have the chance to see because it was closed is the Museum of Peasant Culture, which presents the life and traditions of local farmers, because of course these have always been lands of agriculture and still are today where the main economy is based on agriculture and everything related to it.

I am always speechless when I see these small towns. You have to think that it has only 10,000 inhabitants, but within these towns, there are always these small artistic and historical discoveries that leave me speechless and also make me realize how lucky I am, as I have said in other posts, to be able to travel for work and discover these places rich in art, especially for someone like me who has studied in this field.

Thank you for following the post up to this point. I hope you enjoyed the photos I took and shared here with you. All that's left for me to do is to wish you a Happy Easter and hope that you can spend it with your family. See you in the next post, bye everyone.

@silviared945 Hello friend, I really liked your images, the old architecture that can be seen in those buildings is really interesting, also I think that walking through those streets is like going through a journey through time. Greetings and hugs!
