Hello dear friends,

I know that lately I haven't published many posts, but at the moment I am very busy with work, especially because this is one of the busiest periods for me, as it corresponds to the wedding season, and I work for a company that organizes weddings, so now we are in high season.

But today, fortunately, I have some rest and I want to share with you a beautiful villa that I discovered thanks to my work, and I will show you some photos that I took during my site visit that I do before organizing the event.

As you know, I have shared with you posts about very beautiful villas or residences that I have had the fortune to see in person, but what struck me about this villa is that I found the frescoes in excellent condition. As you know, I have told you many times that I studied art, so I am really happy when I find owners of these villas who take almost manic care of these masterpieces that they are fortunate to have within their residences.

Today I am talking about Villa Barbaro in Maser, a beautiful country villa located in the province of Treviso, so we are in the northeast part of Italy, famous especially for the Venetian Villas that are there.

341188865_930026421575982_4168148246969783728_n.jpg

Naturally, the villa was built in the 16th century by these Venetian nobles who were part of the Barbaro family, and of course, you can imagine that the architect of this villa is Andrea Palladio, one of the most famous architects in the world.

What strikes you when you arrive at this villa is definitely its very imposing portico, a classic of almost all the Venetian Villas, in fact, this villa, like most of the villas found in Veneto, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. At the bottom of the page, I will leave you some useful links to learn more about this beautiful Villa that I was fortunate enough to visit.

341222385_1330832034155145_2026220695180964385_n.jpg

I was also very impressed by the garden, which is composed of a series of terraces and presents a great variety of trees, ornamental plants, and it is clear that the villa has been fortunately restored several times over the centuries because they have managed to preserve its artistic and architectural heritage, and as I was saying, I really liked the part of the fountains.

As I was saying, the villa is famous for the frescoes by Paolo Veronese, which have remained intact and represent a real work of art inside the villa. Unfortunately, I can only share a part of these frescoes because the property of the villa has decided to avoid photos in this area of the main floor, and so it only allowed me to take one, probably for business reasons. So if you come to this place, you have to request permission via email to take pictures inside this area, while in all other parts of the villa, you can take photos freely.

In short, in the end, we can say that Villa Barbaro is a perfect example of how art, architecture, and nature can harmoniously blend, creating a unique experience for those who have visited. In fact, according to me, this guide represents an unmissable stop for those who want to know and appreciate the history and culture of that time.

The other fortunate thing for those who will have the opportunity to visit this villa is that it is located in an area rich in other historic villas and palaces, including Villa Emo in Fanzolo di Vedelago and Villa Foscari in Malcontenta. All of these are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are a true treasure of Italian art, so you just have to visit them.

Moreover, the owners of this villa, who are very kind, told me that their next goal is to be able to restore the garden because perhaps, as you could see from the photos I shared, it is not in excellent condition, and they want to bring it back to its original version as it was designed in 1530.

That's why for this reason, the villa is often rented for events and weddings, but on weekends, it is also possible to visit it individually or in groups, and I already anticipate that the ticket price is €9 for adults and €6 for children. However, below, I will leave you the official website where you can also make a reservation to visit this architectural gem.

As usual, I thank you for following me in this post, I hope you found my story interesting, and you liked the photos I shared. See you soon, bye everyone!
