Natural photos for Danille and Céu

I don't feel super comfortable doing maternity photos, or family photos, because I think they have a tendency to turn out a bit cheesy. I don't like the references that most people have when doing these portraits.
So, when a friend got pregnant, I offered to do her maternity shoot and tried to do it respecting her personal taste, but without falling into clichés very common here where I live...
I don't understand why many photographers suggest that pregnant women wear dresses that look more like fairy costumes or children's party costumes, or put them in an angelic aura, wearing flower crowns for example. I think there is a hidden attempt in these shoots to "sanctify" women because now they have become mothers. I think this is anti-feminist and, as I mentioned, rather tacky. I honestly don't know if these mothers-to-be will feel pride or shame when looking at these photos full of fads and dated elements in the future.

So, when I set out to do this kind of record, I try to do it as naturally as possible. So that these images have a timeless atmosphere... so that they will still be beautiful 10, 20 or 50 years from now.
