Falling in love with Monte Alegre
As I mentioned in my last post here in the community, I recently visited and rediscovered the town of Monte Alegre do Sul, which is about an hour away from where I live. Even though it was a quick trip, it sparked a desire to go back and explore the town with more time and energy, which I did recently. This time, I went by car and brought the bikes along so I could ride around town, because I think that’s the most fun and enjoyable way to get to know a place. And well, that’s what I did, and I realized the town is even more charming than I had imagined. The streets are incredibly calm, lined with trees, and almost empty, and the town is also very flat, which makes biking around there such a pleasant experience.
My favorite part was riding through the rural landscapes, spotting animals everywhere, and seeing the many beautifully preserved old houses scattered throughout the town. I think this kind of outing is definitely my favorite.
And I also took the opportunity to make some friends during this outing, and I came across this horse that was by the side of the road like this, and I completely fell in love with it. I spent some time there petting it and trying to make friends.
In the end, we finished the day by biking to the main tourist spot by the river in the city, which is a viewpoint of Christ the Redeemer. From there, you can see all of Monte Alegre blending with the mountains, the vegetation, and the incredibly beautiful valley. I had the feeling that it looked like one of those cities in games where you carefully place the little houses and trees in a perfectly arranged way. I completely fell in love with this place, and I’ll definitely be back many times.
Hope you liked it! Until next time!
