Cats, glass, and curiosity
These photos were made out of absolutely nothing. I had a broken piece of frame glass at home and started wondering how it could still be useful to me before throwing it away.
So I came up with the idea of making a few portraits of my cats, Tofu and Pino. I leaned the broken glass against the frame and also against a relatively heavy vase, after taping some dry branches and dried flowers to it with transparent tape. I chose transparent tape because it would be easier to hide it during the editing process.
At first, I tried to get the curious ones to stay behind the glass naturally, but they just sniffed the object — which was a novelty in the middle of the living room — and I didn’t have time to take the photos. So I decided to cheat a little and rubbed my fingers with some of their favorite treat, then smeared it on the back of the glass. And voilà! They went crazy trying to lick everything, and I managed to capture these portraits.
I’m in love with the result and with the mysterious mood they ended up having.

I really like the ending, when the two cats appear together—it feels like all the previous experiments were leading up to that moment. 🤣🫣
You’re right, that ending is my favorite too.
Nice pictures, looks so tender together in the last one 😊
Thanks!!!!! :)))
