It is definitely very satisfying, knowing we have back up electricity with the rain and wind pounding outside at this moment!πŸ˜‡πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Very nice, and that's exactly what I was figuring! We have a very custom system that uses a dual broadband router that connects to mobile networks, and it's on T-Mobile as of late, which has thankfully worked pretty well. I've been strongly considering getting Starlink just for me, however...hehe. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

It’s still a bit on the pricey side….$120 a month πŸ™„
We had just reached the point where is Ziply fiber was dropping out four or five times a day?
And it isn’t even fiber…. They just doubled up the thin copper phone lines that run to each house. speeds were 20 to 21 Mbps on a good day…
Much, much less on a bad day.
We had to cross our fingers every day we posted, hoping that we didn’t lose Internet until we were finished Lol!

Ah, indeed, that is still quite expensive on a monthly basis! I definitely understand that, as I've experienced multiple iterations of abysmal internet. Even though our present internet service is not as good as Starlink, it's still far better, both in speed and bandwidth, and in stability, though I still dream of having Starlink some day. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Starlink is pretty much the best internet on the planet at the moment! Everyone with whom I've spoken has told me that Starlink works great, and that they love it! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

With communication between satellites with lasers, in the ability to download to a ground station at any point on earth with low latency it's hard to top that!!
Now add the fact that we are solar powered on our end, so we are not dependent on the grid, it makes a very reliable combination!!πŸ‘πŸ˜€

I didn't know that they utilized lasers! That would definitely speed things up! That's badass, my friend, you've got a great setup! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

It is very interesting...... from what I've read the original generation satellites did not have the lasers.
But the newer generation incorporates laser to laser communication, and as the old satellites gradually burn up back re-entering the atmosphere, his new constellation will all be laser to laser communication!πŸ‘πŸ˜€

Oh, that's very cool, so he's been upgrading his technology, so the network speed and bandwidth should keep getting better! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Absolutely, and the electricity too! Those are two necessities for me, a stable, fast internet connection, and and a stable electrical system! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™
