Three kids.....πŸ₯°
We had a beautiful home paid off, we were doing well, but it's similar to living in Hawaii.... it's very expensive, and the future prospects for our kids finding good jobs in the future were not the best...........
Our two boys are married to beautiful ladies now, and have good jobs. Our youngest has a baby girl six months old, none of this would've been the same living in an extremely expensive tourist town!πŸ™„

Ah, yes, I understand, my friend, and as you said, having children changes one's priorities! That's excellent to hear about your sons, Mike, that they're all doing so well! Yeah, tourist towns definitely have insane prices for sure! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

It is definitely a tourist town...... with the ski resort crested Butte 35 miles to the north, and Gunnison Colorado to the south where everyone that worked for the wealthy would live!πŸ˜‡

Well, I'm sure it's a wonderful place to visit, but living there is a whole different matter entirely! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

So very true my friend..... tourist don't see what goes on behind the scenes!πŸ™„
You can't use this terminology anymore........... but the locals in Gunnison had a saying, they called the tourist "terrorist" they would come in, spend their money, sometimes wreck havoc with the town, and then leave!😳

Very much so, my friend, they only see the pretty surface! Yes, sadly I've seen that exact behavior in other places, which is one reason I never wanted to be seen as a tourist in any place that I visited. I like to get to know places more deeply. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Living in a tourist town you definitely see things for a different perspective……
Nowadays, if we go anywhere, I make sure we blend in!πŸ˜‡

It's a very different perspective indeed, and ditto that, my friend, that's my modus operandi as well! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

My youngest son told me that when he travels to Hungary that that's how he operates as well he tries to blend in........
Interesting he did say that if he runs into trouble anywhere in the world, if you tell them you're American usually the situation can be resolved quickly I guess we hold clout!πŸ‘πŸ˜€

He's a smart fellow! That's interesting about mentioning being American to make situations go more smoothly. I think I've heard that too, and indeed, in many places! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

He was saying when they travel Hungary, if they run into any problems on the way they just mentioned their Americans!πŸ˜‡πŸ‘πŸ˜€

I imagine that would work in some places, like Hungary, a lot better than other places! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™
