Just having a ball today!🤗
“ The best laid plans of mice and men Lol! “ 🙄
Saturdays plans needed to be put on hold………..by mid morning the sky turned pitch black!😮
“ Silvertop, do you still want to take your truck and pick up lumber today? “ 🙄
Hmmm………………
Shopping really wasn’t what Silvertop was planning for today………
“ Liz how about we stop first at Bellingham Marine Park, then we can go shopping! “ 😇
“ That works Silvertop! “ 🥰
Within minutes of driving towards the bay, the sky pounded the Mrs car with an extremely heavy downpour!😳
“That was a good call honey! “😅
The closer we drove to the Oceanfront, the better the sky looked!
By the time we arrived at the eclectic town of Fairhaven just minutes from the bay, the Sun was out!😎
The park was packed, wind surfers, sea kayaks, and people just enjoying the day at the Oceanfront!☺️
This is a weather phenomena that we see often on the Western side of the Cascade Mountains.
Fair weather covers the coast, and as the clouds move inland towards the Mountains they pile up.
Then like a big sponge being rung out, they dump rain on the foothills of the mountains…………..
Silvertop’s home………😅
Liz started snapping photos, and Silvertop having a “Thing” about walking on the “Wrong” side of the tracks, started hiking along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks!😊
I have always wondered what was around the next bend of the railroad tracks…….
In my mind, I was planning an escape route, as I stepped between each wooden railroad tie.😮
Trains approach very quickly, and I learned from my youngest son that worked for this same R.R. that trains CANT stop for obstructions on the tracks! It takes miles to stop a locomotive!🙄
I spotted a sandy beach ahead, and a “cut” of the R.R. tracks between the forest and the bay.
A beautiful view!😊

Time to go shopping, Silvertop had his hiking “fix” for the day!😇
