“Water, Water, Everywhere…….Man!”🐸
I can tell PEPE is happy today, he found a cool shady spot in one of our local creeks!🐸
Most Summers, the rains stop for a few Months….. this year it’s been a bit strange!😅
Rain for a day or so, then hot weather with Sunshine for three or four days, then back to rain!🤣

If you remember the the original TV series “Twin Peaks”, this lodge is the location where it was filmed! Just off to the left in this photo, is the famous Snoqualmie Falls!
Even during a dry Summer, this powerful waterfall continues to impress thousands of visitors every day!😊

“Silvertop……. 🌊 A normal summer day at Snoqualmie Falls:

≈ 10.8 million gallons of water per hour
≈ 259 million gallons per day

For another comparison, the river gauge near the falls has shown summer daily averages in the few-hundred-cfs range (for example, about 366 cfs on one July reading), which works out to about 9.9 million gallons per hour.
It is pretty amazing to stand there and realize that even during the “low water” season, it is still dropping the equivalent of a large municipal water supply over that 268-foot cliff every hour!”

During the winter and Spring the “Roar” of Snoqualmie Falls is so loud it’s difficult to carry on a conversation. Standing up top at the observation deck, you still need a raincoat on a sunny day, and water flows can be as high as tens of thousands of cubic feet per second!😳
Just look how close Mt Si, in the background, is to Snoqualmie Falls!😊
That Mountain is in North Bend Washington, home to our “Grand-dog” Phoenix……. among other members of Silvertop’s family!🥰
