“Where Do You Store Your Treasure?”😇
You never know what you might find buried right under your feet!😇
My friend @thebighigg likes to search with a metal detector, and I believe he has made some good finds over the years!👍😊
The old green bottle you see in the first photo was unearthed by the loggers just up Silvertops road!☺️
Interesting, that it would have stayed undiscovered forever, if not for the logging!😇
Liz tells me that down in town, the County is tearing up the pavement on several streets, running fiber optics.
It’s making it extremely difficult to navigate your way through the city!🙄
“Silvertop, the potholes will just about swallow a car hole!”😬🥰
During the removal of the pavement, they discovered that someone buried a piece of farm equipment, and it eventually was covered up by the road!😳
I asked Chat GPT ………
“How could farm machinery be buried under a road?”🤔
“Silvertop, it really isn’t that unusual. Years ago when farmers had equipment break, sometimes they would dump the broken equipment in low spots in a field. They would cover them up with dirt or let nature take its course!”
Large sections of the town of Everson are in a 100 year floodplain, and this farm equipment could have been covered with silt and mud over the years from the river flooding!”

Eventually, the city comes in, paves roads, and no one is the wiser what’s underneath Lol!😇
One of Silvertop’s fellow Silvergoldstackers that has taken a break from posting, @summertooth, would drop a copper coin on hiking trails, hoping someone would be excited when they found it!🤗
The most exciting thing Silvertop has ever found, is in the second photo!😊
In June of 1882, the Denver, South Park Pacific RR started laying narrow gauge track up to “Alpine Tunnel”!😅
Workers on both the East portal, and the West, were rushing to open a railroad tunnel through the Continental divide in Colorado, at an elevation of 11,523 feet above sea level!
This was to be the highest railroad tunnel in North America in 1882!☺️
On the way to the summit, small communities sprang up next to water tanks for the steam locomotives.
One such town was called “Woodstock”.
One winter day, a powerful avalanche came rolling down the mountain side, burying the town of Woodstock!😳
Bodies couldn’t be recovered till June of the following year, because of the deep snow!🙄
This is where Silvertop found this original 1882 railroad spike!😊
Now days, if I find anything it’s Cougar tracks!😇
Tracks are much safer, than meeting face-to-face with this powerful BIG Kitty!😺😳
Enjoy a hike my friends, you never know what you might find!🤗
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊

It is funny the things people buried over the years, while digging around on my property i found a shopping trolley and a whole sheet of glass, a big one too.

No one knows why?

Have the best day

I used to have a metal detector as a kid, and I did find some pretty cool things over the years with it. I've also found all sorts of wild things buried in the ground! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
