It’s good to see, the little ones helping Dad get in shape, for the upcoming “Ski to Sea” relay race!💪😊
“Morning gloom” today my friends!😮
I asked GROK what causes gray skies only in the morning in the Springtime?
“Silvertop, it’s the Marine layer………
Cool Pacific air sits over the chilly ocean, picks up moisture, and forms a blanket of low stratus clouds. Onshore winds push that layer inland overnight, so you wake up to gray skies in spring and early summer. It’s nature’s air-conditioning!”😇
The good news is that usually it burns off by noon, and that’s exactly how today’s weather played out down at Boulevard Park!☺️
Living in the foothills of Sumas Mountain, the trees are just starting to leaf out………..
It’s so different down at the seaside Park!😊
Rhododendrons have already bloomed, and deciduous trees are fully leafed out!
Boulevard Park is the kayaking part of the Ski to Sea race, and you can see in the fourth photo, that people are already out on the water practicing!💪
This race starts on the snow covered slopes of Mt Baker! Hundreds of participants will join this mad dash, that eventually ends down at Fairhaven Marine Park!😊
Closer to home, the Police will shut down roads for the Mountain bike section of this race!
These bikers will hand off to canoeist, at Everson River Park, where Liz and Silvertop were at just a few days ago!🤗
Mark your calendars my friends for Sunday May 24……. It’s coming faster than you think Lol!🤣
For today……. Boulevard Park was quiet…….😇
