Those guys in the second photo, look like they are having way too much fun drinking, and watching Silvertop work Lol!😇
“Come on over here you guys, Silvertop could use a hand!”🤣
That’s when Mike my neighbor pulled up along side of me in his car. I was just beginning to unbolt our old Mailbox!😅
“Silvertop did you know the Post Office is wanting to become a private company?”🤔
“They have been talking about that for years Mike Lol!”😇
That’s one of the reasons for the new Mailbox Mike, PO Box rental charges keep going up in price!😮
Guys have you ever heard of the game “Wack A Mole”?🙄
Today I was replacing our old cheep plastic Mailbox with a heavy steel, lockable box!💪
Our sons are grown and Married now…..
But back when they were at home, other High School kids in the neighborhood would drive from Mailbox to Mailbox, smashing the boxes with a baseball bat, and stealing any Mail that looked important!😬
Some ingenious neighbors would put their metal mailbox inside of a steel drum, that could not be smashed!😇
Others would rent a PO Box in town to avoid theft……..like us!☺️
“Silvertop… six Months of PO Box rental charges, and this lockable box is paid for!”🥰
“Awesome honey!”😍
At this point Silvertop had Mike my neighbor, and the two Beer drinking Bears watching me work, and then a FedEx truck pulled up alongside me……………….
“Coffee delivery Silvertop, do you want me to put this 65 pound bag in your new Mailbox Lol!”🤣
Hmmm…………
Silvertop was beginning to feel like a City employee……… four people were watching, and one person was working Lol!😇
“Well everyone…… what do you think of the new lockable Mailbox?”🤗
Everyone agreed it was an improvement, and that’s when the Beer drinking spectators got bored and they walked away………..
“Cot, are you going for a hike with Dad?”😻
Hmmm………..I didn’t think so! 🤔
“Make sure you check for Mail in the new Mailbox later son, we might be expecting a package of Catnip!”😺
That should motivate the lazy boy Lol!☺️
