Miles of hiking trails crisscross the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest!😊
Many of these trails start on private land…………
The Gold Mine trail is a prime example of this. This historic trail would be closed down, if it wasn’t for the generosity of Mr. Lautenbach, allowing hikers to access this trail from his land!👍
The fourth and fifth photo, is my neighbor Tim’s off grid cabin.
Tim has told Silvertop, that he once had hunters break into this cabin, causing a lot of damage.
“Silvertop, I just keep it unlocked all the time now, If someone needs temporary shelter from the elements, they can stay here.😇
Down in town this wouldn’t be possible, it would become a free home for a homeless person……..🙄
The photo just after Tim’s cabin, is where Silvertop’s hiking adventures begin………….
A gated private gravel road owned by my neighbors Keith and Lynne.😊
“Hike anytime you want Silvertop, you are keeping the trails beat down with your foot traffic!”☺️
From here, it’s a short hike to Tim’s property and his gate, that you can see in the last photo…….
“Silvertop we closed the gate so strangers don’t drive up this road, but you are always welcome!”😇
From here I can hike for miles in different directions, including North to @kerrislravenhill in Canada!🇨🇦
Just be respectful…………….and carry your Passport …..Eh….Lol!😇🤣

A passport will cost me $225 and a 4 month wait. 6 months if it's coming in the mail. I may need options if me and my family need a place of refuge escaping from the People's republic of Canada.

Shame about your friends cabin getting damaged it is sad when people don't respect the boundaries of others.
