MONOCHROME MONDAY! 😀.................. Actifit Report Card: April 3 2023

Monochrome Monday!😊
Yesterday winter “ Came in like a Lion, and today it went out like a Lamb Lol!” 😇
After “Indoor” steps on Sunday, Silvertop said………..
“ Honey, how about we hike over to Westergreens tree forest ?”🥰
I was expecting to see heavily snow covered Canadian Mountains…………….
We passed our neighbors that live in the tiny house…………
“ How was Harrison Hot Springs yesterday my friend?”😊
These are Canadian hot springs just Northeast of the US/ Canadian border.
“ Silvertop we didn’t get any snow at all!”
Hmmm………….
We got dumped on my friend, and now it looks like everything has melted!😲
It’s not quite Summer yet Lol!🤣
When Silvertop was a kid, everything was in black and white.
I had my own darkroom, and I was a member of the camera club, in High School.
Monochrome is a lost art………………
Paired together with the beauty of these Canadian Mountains in the distance, I wanted to show some of the uniqueness of black and white photography!😊
In the fifth photo you can see a burnt out stump, the end result of timber logging!
I know……..the first impression is this is terrible for the forest!😮
Now look at the next photo……………..
Westergreen is a very responsible timber logger.
Over the decades, he has planted hundreds, if not, thousands of acres of seedlings !😊
Every field has signs as to when the trees were planted, or thinned.
He plants so much more than he harvests!😇
In the Pacific Northwest, these trees can easily grow two feet per year!☺️
His replanting, is everywhere, you need to watch your step…………..
“ Silvertop don’t step on that baby tree Lol!”😲
As the Sun started setting we headed back toward home…….
We are back in a cold snap, with nighttime temperatures dropping to the freezing mark!🥶
“ Alexa, what’s the temperature in Liz’s outdoor greenhouse?”
“ The greenhouse is 74 degrees”………….
Hmmm…….. that’s nice and toasty, the warmest spot for today!😎
