Nissurut Khan Zamindar's mosque in the old days

The subject of my question today is an old mosque. A few days ago, I went to an area called Sholkupa under Meherpur Thana in Meherpur district and saw a very old mosque which was established during the British period and its establishment year was 1859.

Mosque establishment year: 1859

Mosque founder: Nissarut Khan Zamindar.

Mosque description: This is the most beautiful mosque I have ever seen. The mosque is located under Mirpur Sadar Thana in Meherpur district. It is located in a place in Sohel Mari area, 6 kilometers away from Meherpur city. This mosque was established many years ago, before our birth and before the birth of our grandfathers. This is such an old mosque. I could never have imagined that I would see it with my own eyes. I saw it with my own eyes and captured it on camera to show you all.

If you go straight along the road, you will first see a beautiful minaret, then the mosque. The mosque is located under a banyan tree. Currently, the condition of the mosque is very bad, since the old mosque has three total rooms inside the mosque. In 1859, during the British rule, the Muslim people of that time established the mosque there for praying. There was a maximum of four rows of prayer space. In fact, when our Bangladesh was under the British rule, there was no place for prayer, there was no proper mosque anywhere, so this mosque was established here in 1859 to make a place for Muslims to pray.

After seeing the shoes, I am thinking that this mosque is now so beautiful when the mosque was newly built, that is, how beautiful it was in 1859. The work of all the previous masons who worked there was actually very beautiful, so maybe that is why the mosque is so beautiful now that the plastering of Eid cement has not yet been found.

The mosque that was the only place for people to pray in 1859 has now been abandoned. In fact, a very beautiful mosque has been built next to it, which is why this mosque is now abandoned. Even then, many people come to see the mosque with their own eyes. After seeing this mosque, I realized one thing: when you get something new, everyone looks at the new one in the market, not the old one. This is a proof of that.

I won't write much today, see you again with a new post. Assalamu Alaikum
